🌟 Community Champion Spotlight: Janet Hage 🌟

The Jarrell-Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize Janet Hage as this week’s Community Champion, a leader whose dedication, service, and passion have helped shape Jarrell into the thriving community it is today.

Since making Jarrell her home in 1994, Janet has witnessed the community’s incredible transformation from a small township into one of the fastest-growing areas in Central Texas. Through every stage of that growth, she has remained committed to preserving the small-town values, strong relationships, and community spirit that make Jarrell special.

Over the years, Janet has generously invested her time and talents in numerous areas of community life, including local schools, municipal government, civic committees, and nonprofit leadership. Her belief that strong communities are built through collaboration, volunteerism, and shared purpose has guided her service every step of the way.

Today, Janet serves as Executive Board President of the Jarrell Community Library and Resource Center (JCLRC). Alongside the JCLRC Executive Board and Director Susan Gregurek, she is helping lead the development of a permanent library and resource center that will serve not only Jarrell but communities throughout northern Williamson County. Under her leadership, the JCLRC has expanded its vision beyond traditional library services to become a hub for education, technology access, workforce development, community resources, and lifelong learning opportunities.

Janet also made history as the first woman elected to the Williamson County ESD 5/ Jarrell Fire/Rescue Board of Commissioners, where she continues to advocate for public safety and emergency services that support Jarrell’s growing population.

A local small business owner and developer, Janet brings a unique perspective to community leadership. Her experience in business, government, and nonprofit service allows her to connect residents, businesses, schools, organizations, and public agencies in meaningful ways that strengthen the community as a whole.

Most importantly, Janet is deeply rooted in Jarrell. She and her husband, Jeff, have been married for 37 years and have raised six children in the community they love. Today, they are proud grandparents to 13 grandchildren, and their family-owned businesses continue to serve the area they have called home for decades.

Janet’s vision for Jarrell is simple yet powerful: to ensure that as the city grows, it never loses the welcoming spirit and sense of belonging that have defined it for generations. Her passion is helping create a place where everyone belongs; a community where partnerships flourish, opportunities grow, and neighbors support one another.

Through servant leadership, unwavering dedication, and a genuine love for the people of Jarrell, Janet Hage continues to make a lasting impact on our community.

Thank you, Janet, for your commitment to Jarrell and for being a true Community Champion! ❤️

📣 Know someone who goes above and beyond for our community? Stay tuned as we continue highlighting the individuals who make Jarrell such a special place to live, work, and grow.

🌟 Community Champion: Jeff Stockton
The story of Jarrell’s growth and success cannot be told without recognizing the contributions of Jeff Stockton of Stockton Real Estate

Jeff’s connection to Jarrell began when his family moved here while he was in the 4th grade. In 1975, his father, C. Bud Stockton, opened Bud’s Western Store, where Jeff spent his afternoons helping customers and learning the value of hard work and community service.

After earning his Auctioneer and Real Estate licenses at age 18, followed by his Broker’s License and a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Jeff returned to Jarrell and has dedicated his professional life to serving the community ever since.

Jeff played a pivotal role in shaping modern Jarrell. When the time was right for the community to incorporate, he helped lead the effort; researching state laws, drawing the original city limits, coordinating required postings, and working alongside residents and county officials to make incorporation a reality. Following incorporation, Jeff helped establish the city's zoning framework and founded the Jarrell Economic Development Corporation

His service continued as a member of the Jarrell City Council, where he championed major infrastructure projects that would support future growth. He was instrumental in securing financing and approval for Jarrell’s wastewater treatment system, helping ensure the city could provide essential services to residents and businesses. He also helped launch the Jarrell Police Department by securing the department’s first patrol vehicles and worked to strengthen public safety through his involvement in the creation of Williamson County ESD 5/ Jarrell Fire/Rescue.

Jeff's commitment to Jarrell extended beyond city government. He served on the board of the local water system, advocated for improved water infrastructure, and continues to represent the City of Jarrell, Texas - Government on the Lone Star Regional Water Authority board, where he remains the only original member still serving.

In addition to his public service, Jeff has been a longtime business owner, real estate broker, rancher, and entrepreneur. His investment in the community includes developing Valley View RV Park LL and
supporting Jarrell’s growth through countless business and civic initiatives over the decades. Jeff is also the proud “voice of the Jarrell Cougars”! His voice can be heard echoing through the stadium at all your Jarrell Cougar home games!

Thank you, Jeff, for your vision, leadership, and unwavering dedication to making Jarrell the community we know and love today. ❤️🏡
