A group of club members (and family member) spent the morning of Saturday, June 6 cleaning up trash and removing brush and downed tree limbs from our adopted section of the Ice Age Trail/City of Janesville bike trail, from Lions Beach to the Rock River. Afterwards we enjoyed a cookout lunch in a shady spot at Lions Beach. Thanks to everyone who volunteered, and we hope trail users enjoy and appreciate our hard work.

We're always looking for new volunteers and club members, so if you'd like to join us next time or learn more about the Janesville Lions Club, please send us a message or reach out on our website!

Recently, Lions Margaret and Ann (not pictured) made a two-pronged mission to the Wisconsin Lions Foundation, Inc. Eyeglass Recycling Center in Rosholt, WI. They transported more than 4,500 pairs of used eyeglasses that were donated by local residents at our 30+ drop-off locations in the Janesville area. These glasses are cleaned, sorted, and turned into a life-changing tool for someone in an underserved community. During their road trip, Lions Margaret and Ann also received lensometer training so that they can volunteer at the satellite eyeglass recycling center in Beloit. Thanks ladies, for doing your part to advance the Lions mission of !

Our most delicious fundraiser is back! We're selling 5-pound boxes of fresh-picked Michigan blueberries and bringing them to Janesville for you to pick up and enjoy!

Each 5-pound box is $25. They will be picked during peak season, then trucked back to Janesville.

Orders will be available for pickup at Traxler Park during a weekday afternoon in late July or early August. The exact pickup date depends upon the growing season and when the berries become available from our supplier.

These blueberries are as fresh as they come, and are able to be frozen for months. Be sure to stock up for your summer snacking and all of your fall and winter baking needs.

Just in time for summer, Lions Beach has some new play options! City of Janesville parks staff have spent the past few days pouring concrete and installing four new pieces of equipment for kids to enjoy during summertime beach visits. Three of the pieces are ready to use; the sand table will be ready once the concrete (poured Thursday) cures and the table is installed.

Our club is proud to have purchased this equipment for the enjoyment of all beach-goers, using funds raised from our annual Rose Sale, Blueberry Sale, and Chicken Roast. Thanks to all of our loyal customers for their support, and be on the lookout soon for information about our 2026 Blueberry Sale!

Several club members on Wednesday joined students and staff from the Wisconsin Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired for an spruce-up of the school's sensory gardens. The group worked together to remove weeds and debris from the recent storms from the gardens, and helped get them ready for the growing season. It was a great collaborative service project on a beautiful spring afternoon. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Congratulations to our April Students of the Month, Trista and Sophie! 🦁✨ It was a joy to meet these two seniors at our April meeting. We’re so inspired by their hard work and big plans!

Trista is a standout athlete and leader at Janesville Parker. Congratulations to her parents, Brent and Peggy Anderson, on all of Trista’s accomplishments!
Involved in Cross Country, Track, and DECA, her favorite memory is achieving her dream of making it to State for Cross Country. When she isn’t running, Trista is active in 4-H, enjoys hunting, fishing, and even knitting! Trista is headed to UW-Whitewater this fall to run Cross Country and Track while pursuing a path toward the dental field. 👟🐾💜

Sophie is a dedicated student-athlete and a familiar face in many leadership roles at Parker. We also want to congratulate her parents, Megan Martin and Jason Nelson, for her accomplishments!
Active in NHS, Link Crew, Student Leadership Council, SALT, Basketball, and Golf, Basketball has been Sophie’s outlet and passion for the last 10 years, helping her grow on and off the court. Outside of school, she loves playing pickleball, working out, and enjoying board game nights. Sophie will be attending Loras College to major in Kinesiology and play basketball, with the ultimate goal of becoming a collegiate Athletic Trainer. 🏀📚💜

Help us give a big congratulations to Trista and Sophie! We can’t wait to see what you both achieve and you are welcome back any time!
