The Bible doesn’t tell us to blindly follow signs, wonders, manifestations, or spiritual experiences. It tells us to test them.

A sign may be real but the source can still be wrong.

Every authentic thing has a counterfeit so not everything that uses the language of faith actually reflects the heart of God.

But the existence of religious manipulation, abuse, or people weaponizing Scripture for power doesn’t mean the truth of God isn’t real.

The challenge is learning to discern the counterfeit from the authentic.

Because when people use faith to pursue power and control, we have to remember: the counterfeit doesn’t cancel the truth.
