Two college students from Jackson State reflect on a question many people face: when suffering comes, do we blame God, run to Him, or somehow do both?

As part of the ASK Initiative, Jude 3 Project visits HBCUs across the country, creating space for young people to share what they truly believe, wonder about, and wrestle with when it comes to the Christian faith. Click the link in our bio to learn more.

Some questions sound intellectual on the surface… but underneath them is real pain. Often “I don’t believe anymore” is connected to unanswered prayers, grief, disappointment, or pain no one ever addressed.

It’s easy to reshape Scripture into something that never confronts us. But understanding the text often requires both honesty and humility.

We don’t need more shame. We need guidance. Safe conversations. Truth with compassion.

God’s design for s*xuality was never meant to destroy us, it was meant to protect something sacred.

The ministry of Jesus consistently moved toward people, not away from them.

Across division.
Across hostility.
Across walls people thought could never come down.

The way we love people, forgive people, and move toward reconciliation can either reflect the heart of Jesus… or distort it.
