It's Giving Tuesday, and it would mean SO much to us if you'd invest in Pyra! We are working towards a 2026 full launch, but we can't make it happen without you! Our goal is to raise $5000 to get us started. Here's where your funds go:

🔥 $20 purchases student snacks for a week
🔥 $50 purchases supplies for one student's leadership kit
🔥 $100 purchases much needed program materials
🔥 $250 provides meals for 2 weeks for students in our cohorts
🔥 $350 covers one student's program tuition
🔥 $600 covers rent in a temporary downtown space for one month
🔥 $1000 contributes to our quest for a permanent space

We started Pyra so that we could make an impact on youth AND adults. We want to equip people with the leadership skills they need to become more confident and change their communities for the better. We are so honored to be a part of the journey of A Third Place Coffee & Books!

💛 Day 26 of our Month of Thanks 💛

Today we’re thankful for another incredible female power duo — Bailey and Christina of Pyra Leadership. Their wisdom, encouragement, and belief in people have made such an impact on us.

Between them, they bring years of leadership experience. Tisha worked across the hall from Christina and instantly knew she was a remarkable educator. Her passion for students and her desire to help them reach their full potential is unmistakable. Bailey brings deep restaurant experience and business knowledge, and together they are absolutely unstoppable.

Their combined expertise, insight, and genuine heart for helping others grow is the foundation of their new nonprofit, Pyra Leadership, which will include both youth and adult divisions. They graciously allowed us to be their “guinea pigs,” meeting with our team, observing our operations, and helping us identify ways to improve. We appreciated every minute of it — and every bit of wisdom they shared.

But more than partners in leadership and growth, we also get to call them friends. They treat our staff with respect, kindness, and steady encouragement, and we’re so grateful for the way they invest in our people and our shop.

Pyra may just be getting off the ground, but we can say with complete confidence that anyone who works with these two will walk away feeling more empowered, more confident, and better equipped for whatever comes next.

It’s hard to believe 2 months ago, we had our first pop up leadership camp!

Here, you can see our co-founder, Christina, teaching the art of the first impression. At Pyra, we want to teach real, practical leadership skills to everyone!

Through cohorts, leadership camps, professional development, and workshops, our goal is to ignite leadership in youth and adults so that they can spark change in their communities and the world!

Everyone has had a leader that truly motivated them. Sometimes, we don't even recognize how impactful their leadership is until much later, but we can feel the resonance of their presence for our entire lives.

One of our co-founders, Christina, had this to say: "One of the most incredible leaders I have ever had the privilege to work with was the type of person who didn't mind rolling up her sleeves and doing the difficult work right alongside us. She never asked me to do anything she wasn't willing to do. She never thought any idea was too big or too far-fetched, giving me the freedom to run as far and as hard as I could to chase those ideas. She challenged my thinking and pushed me to be more than excellent. Her leadership has had a profound impact on me and ignited a spark in me that led me to this exact moment in time."
