Each month, our members take continuing education courses to stay equipped with the best resources and evidence-based practices. To continue to serve our military, veterans, and their families across Wisconsin.
Then we share it freely with others.

MONTH OF THE MILITARY CHILD/CHILDREN & YOUTH
Thank you to our Wisconsin National Guard Child and Youth Program, Wisconsin National Guard, their Command, and the Family Readiness Group leaders for your contributions to all that we can do in support of our amazing families.

Testimony and research show that, after financial strain, one of the greatest stressors facing military and National Guard families is staying connected to their service member during and after deployment. What we learned early on—and continue to see—is that adult family members and friends of the deployed also strongly value these resources. We now recognize that reconnecting after deployment is another significant challenge, one that directly impacts the overall wellness of the entire family.

These are just a few examples from the original six-pack of sheets. Additional resources continue to be developed in response to longer deployments, along with new tools designed to support families as their service members return home.

It’s important to remember that not every child or parent has access to mental wellness resources. Hope is created when we take action—this is one meaningful path toward sustaining that hope.

If you or a family member would like a set of these sheets, please reach out to JD or Audrey at the Wisconsin National Guard Child and Youth Program
or by email to us at [email protected]

Our team decided that, along with sharing important information, we also want to offer a few simple tools to help support our military youth and their families here at home.
We will be sharing the popular Yiayia's Magic connection sheets" tomorrow. Until then, please feel free to dm us or email [email protected] for copies

I noticed that Axel Noze would come and put his nose between me and my phone. Often sighing. This consistently happened after a bit of time (actually, I lost time watching different reels online.)
Then I wondered, if a dog feels this way, what about our youth?
The bottom line for all the studies I read, to put it in plain English:
TikTok has the same impact on the brain receptors as CO***NE.

Why Axel Noze and his team keep their ears to the ground, noses to the air, and wheels rolling across Wisconsin.
