Did you know that Thursday the 15th is National Purple Day for DVAM? Wear your best purple outfit, accessory, nail polish or even makeup on Thursday and tag WRAP in a photo! We would love to see the community support spread through purple awareness 💜

So thankful for our advocates and community for showing for Domestic Violence survivors all month long.

Each year advocates, survivors and supporters recognize October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month and events will continue to take place all around Jackson until the end of October.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month can get really heavy, really fast - that’s why we are so thankful to 901Goats from Walkapony Goat Ranch, Prevention Alliance of Lauderdale, and the Lauderdale County Library for letting us join their wellness event with GOATS!!! It was a great way to offer community resources while prioritizing both physical and mental health. 💜🐐💜

As you can see, our Lauderdale County Domestic Violence Response Manager Maura Joyner had a blast and I believe she may have considering smuggling a goat home!

Unforgettable describes this years Haywood County DVAM proclamation Brunch. Thanks go out to Pastor Ben Cowell and the Brownsville Baptist family for their hospitality in hosting the event. To 1 Safe Place, all the city and county leaders, State Representative Shaw, DA’s office, BPD, HCSO, WTLS, Haywood County Schools, Haywood County Health Department, survivors and community at large. On behalf of all the survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Thank you!! WRAP could not do what we do without your support. Lastly to Angela Hunt, new Domestic Violence Response Specialist for Haywood and Candice Sanders, Sexual Assault Response Specialist for Haywood, kudos for a job well done!!

A meaningful moment for Obion County! The Domestic Violence Awareness Proclamation was signed with Mayor Steve Carr, Judge Jimmy Smith, Johana Romero | Obion County Health Educator, and WRAP staff.

WRAP is grateful for their support and partnership as we raise awareness, stand with survivors, and work together toward a community free from abuse.
