4. To promote and provide HIV/AIDS educational opportunities to consortium members in order to increase knowledge to develop effective services. The West Tennessee Regional Consortium and Community Planning Group is an organization of volunteers who are deeply concerned about the health and well-being of people living with HIV/AIDS; and are passionate about preventing the further spread of HIV/AIDS in the community. The Consortium provides an opportunity for community leaders to network and share strategies about programs that impact HIV/AIDS in our community. The Consortium also directs the spending of federal HIV/AIDS dollars in order to most effectively provide prevention education in the community, and to ensure a continuum of care for individuals suffering from HIV/AIDS.
