Last week for our training we did a live burn to get some of our guys time on the hose. Ischua chief ran pump. While ischua chief 2 had incident command to get her trained in commanding incidents. Ischua chief 1 ran the tanker pumping from the tanker to the engine

Yesterday we were dispatched at 3:24pm to a reported fire. Ischua chief 1 arrived on location reported controll burn of a trailer. Due to the burn ban being in effect ischua chief requested ischua 5 with a crew of two and ischua 4 with a crew to the scene to extinguish the smoldering fire. All units were cleared by 6pm. We were assisted on scene by nysp and nys dec as the burn ban is still in effect. I want to thank all my members.

If you missed the bus yesterday at the fire hall they will be on North Union St, street parking out front of Olean Mall Today (May 2nd, 2026) from 12:30pm-5pm. Come on down check this bus out. If you've lost someone due to mental health or an overdose you are more than welcome to add their name, obituary, a picture, or even ashes. If you yourself are a survivor you can also add your name. If you are part of a any emergency service and would like to add a patch you are also more than welcome. The bus has patchs from a lot of emergency services including one from our department.

So today (May 1st, 2026) between 12 and 12:30 the su***de awareness bus will be at the fire hall. If anyone interested our community is interested in seeing this amazing display come on down. They are major supporters of the red line family. If u are from another department come down and bring a patch as it will be displayed on the bus for everyone to see.
