Today, we successfully conducted the Prom Promise mock accident drill.

These drills play an important role in demonstrating to young drivers the very real consequences of impaired and distracted driving. During the simulation, the junior and senior classes were able to witness firsthand the response to a serious motor vehicle accident, including vehicle extrication, patient assessment and care, and the potentially life-altering injuries that can result from unsafe driving decisions.

Our goal is to educate and raise awareness so that students understand the importance of making safe and responsible choices behind the wheel.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of our members, the Village of Franklinville Police Department, the Machias Volunteer Fire Department, the Farmersville Fire Department, Trans Am Ambulance Services, Inc and Mercy Flight for their dedication, teamwork, and support in helping make this educational event possible

Here are a few pictures we were able to take.

⚠️ **Important Announcement** ⚠️

Today at approximately 1:00 PM, there will be a Prom Promise Drill simulating a real motor vehicle accident scene. The exercise will take place in the parking lot at the Fireman's Field.

Please use caution when traveling through the area, as there will be a significant presence of emergency vehicles and personnel. Temporary interruptions to normal traffic flow may occur while the drill is in progress.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to demonstrate the dangers and consequences of impaired driving to our local students.

Thank you for your cooperation and support.

📣 Community Notice: “Prom Promise” Program

As prom season approaches, our juniors and seniors will participate in the Prom Promise program on Wednesday, June 3rd at 1PM. This experience focuses on the importance of making safe decisions, especially when it comes to distracted and impaired driving.

With the support of local first responders, students will observe a simulated emergency response scenario at the Fireman's Field. Community members may notice emergency vehicles in the area, including fire trucks, EMS, and law enforcement, along with lights and sirens during the demonstration. Weather permitting, a medical helicopter may also land as part of the simulation.

Please note: this is a planned, controlled educational event designed to give students a realistic understanding of how first responders work in emergency situations.

Thank you for your understanding and support as our school and first responders work together to keep our students safe.
