Real change doesn't happen overnight. It happens because somebody keeps showing up every day.

That's what a monthly gift really is. In Uganda, it provides breakfast and lunch for students who once spent the entire afternoon learning on an empty stomach. In Lebanon, it means a girl has a place where she is known, loved, encouraged, and taught life skills.

Because of the incredible generosity of our founding sponsors, Hope In Every Backpack came to life, building our foundation and getting our core programs off the ground. As Daniel, our Uganda Program Director, shared:

“In Uganda, many children come to school on an empty stomach, which makes it impossible for them to focus or learn. By launching this feeding program, we are not just filling plates; we are fueling minds, improving daily attendance and showing these children that God provides for their physical needs alongside their spiritual ones.”

Last month, we provided over 3,800 meals to our amazing students!

Hearing kids like Nantambi share how much more energy they have to learn and play is a direct result of your support. We are so grateful for every single person who helps keep this program going.

We’re building Hope In Every Backpack on a foundation of transparency, accountability, and trust.

That’s why we’re excited to share that, after two months of receiving our official 501(c)(3) status, we’ve earned the Candid Silver Seal of Transparency.

As a nonprofit in our first year, this is the highest Candid Seal we can achieve until we complete our first year of financial reporting. Once we’ve filed our first Form 990, we’ll work toward earning Gold and, ultimately, Platinum.

Our dreams for our students in Uganda are BIG: academic excellence, skills training, and spiritual growth. But these are very hard to achieve if a child is too hungry to learn. That’s why we are celebrating the official launch of our school feeding program, providing two nutritious meals a day!

Consistent meals change everything. They improve overall health, bring better focus to the classroom, boost attendance, and give kids the energy to learn and grow.

To our partners: this is your doing. You are building this one meal at a time, gift by gift. Thank you for changing lives with us. And we're just getting started. Notes from Lebanon 🇱🇧

With our Lebanon partner, The Warm House, we took the girls hiking to escape the noise and connect.

Amidst the laughter and breathtaking views, we stopped to anchor their hearts in a vital truth: Their value is not defined by the world, but beautifully established in Christ.

So thankful for a day of deepening friendships, creating sweet memories, and resting in His design.
