Helping Hands Outreach Helping Hands Outreach is a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to providing support and assistance to those in need in our community.

Through the dedication and support the outreach has been able to make an impact in several peoples lives. 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You

hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

Our mission is to empower and uplift those facing challenging circumstances by offering a helping hand and a compassionate heart. The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
South Central Estill County in east central Kentucky...
West Central Breathitt County in southeastern Kentucky...
Central Lee County in southeastern Kentucky...

* Until 1115 PM EDT.

* At 817 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible
in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Beattyville, Maloney, St. Helens, Proctor, Airedale, Corgleton,
White Ash, Primrose, Belle Point, Monica, Tallega, Vada, Canyon
Falls, Heidelberg, Caryton, Williba, Fillmore, Yellow Rock, Willow
Shoals and Widecreek.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
Lynam Creek, Contrary Creek, Kentucky River, Upper Sinking Creek,
Upper Twin Creek, Wolf Pen Branch, Station Camp Creek, Long
Branch, Holly Creek, Cave Branch, Middle Fork Contrary Creek,
Middle Fork Kentucky River, War Creek, Cooperas Cave Branch,
Grassy Fork, Miller Branch, Long Shoal Branch, South Fork Kentucky
River, Walker Creek, Brush Creek, War Fork, Laurel Branch, Little
Creek, Lick Creek, North Fork Kentucky River, Sturgeon Creek, Keen
Fork, Buck Lick Branch and Smith Branch.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
