Great weekend of training for Hargett, Millers Creek, Estill County Rescue Squad and other neighbors!! Swift water training by Bill Matney was great! Crews learned a great deal, used and practiced with each others equipment, and just enjoyed working to get better! Thanks to all of our community sponsors!!

We are stunned by the loss of Karl Rifenbark, who lived in the Hargett Area. He was also a Captain with the Clark County Sheriff office. Please join us as we mourn the loss of a true public servant.

We will be praying for the family during this difficult time.

Miles has been devoted member for years! Please help us help him!!

Volunteer Miles Dobson has spent years answering the call to serve our community through his service with the Rescue Squad, Fire Departments, and Estill County Fair board. Today we are asking our community to answer the call for him. Together, we can make a difference. Join us August 1,2026 at 5pm at the Estill County Fairgrounds for a benefit Fish Fry to raise money for one of our own. We will update on a price before the event, possibly next week. Hargett units responded to a structure fire yesterday on 730 Racetrack rd. Upon arrival the building was found to be fully involved. With help from our community partners Millers Creek Fire-Rescue, Estill County Fire, Clay City Fire, Estill County EMS, the fire was extinguished and we were able to work through the difficult temperatures. Community partners, in this case Brothers and Sisters, working together for a common goal, working for/with each other is a blessing. Thank you and we stand ready to return the favor when called.
