Hello Friends and Community Members, it is our sincere hope that everyone is weathering the remnants of Winter storm β€œFern” safely. Members of Hargett Fire and Rescue have manned the station for 24 hours a day for 5 days straight. This was unprecedented for us, but conditions warranted such attention. We made many runs simply helping folks all over the Hargett service area. Thank you to the Estill County Road Department for keeping our hill at the station clean and salted. The multiple trips they made to treat the driveway were vital to our ability to respond. Thanks to them!!! Thank you to our citizens who have been patient as we worked to serve them in very dangerous conditions, you all have made volunteering during this event a true pleasure. I would also like to complement the other agencies in the county for doing wonderful work serving the citizens of this county. We are truly blessed to have wonderful partners. Stay safe until the next event! Thank you all. Chief Rob

Tough day. Good job to all that helped.
