These little ones are getting a head start through our prison puppy program where they're learning important skills like crate training, potty training, sit, down, stand, and leash manners.

🧡 Meet Aspen – Our Independent, Camera-Loving Graduate 🧡

Some dogs wait.

Aspen has been waiting longer than most.

And the truth? He’s ready.

Aspen isn’t just another shelter dog. He’s a graduate of our program. He has worked hard, trained hard, and he has officially passed his Canine Good Citizen test — which means he has the manners, the stability, and the foundation to walk right into a home and succeed.

But here’s the thing about Aspen…

He’s a Husky. And he’s true to his breed.

He’s smart. Independent. A little opinionated. And yes — he absolutely loves the pupparazzi (clearly 😎).

He does have his own agenda sometimes… but don’t we all?

We were told he was surrendered because he wasn’t great with kids, so we are recommending a home without young children. What he would thrive in is a home that appreciates his independent spirit and enjoys a dog that can both hang out calmly and engage when it matters.

He’s not chaotic.
He’s not overly needy.
He’s just… Aspen.

A solid, good boy who knows his stuff and is ready to belong to someone.

And after all this time, we would really love that “someone” to finally show up.

How is this sweet mama still here!?

Charlotte aka Momma, has done an amazing job raising her puppies and is now ready for a home where she can finally be spoiled and loved on the way she deserves. She has a gentle spirit, a loving heart, and so much affection to give. 🏠

Charlotte has taken the next steps and is now in our Prison Dog Program. Every day she is building confidence, learning new skills, and preparing for life with her future family. She's working hard on her manners and can't wait to show just how amazing she is.

All she needs now is someone willing to give her the chance she's been waiting for.

She didn’t “fail.”

Life just happened.

This is Ripley.

When she first came to us from the shelter, she was young, big, energetic… and honestly? She didn’t show well in that environment. Shelters are loud. Stressful. Overwhelming. Not exactly the best place for a big, excited girl trying to figure out the world.

So she came into our program.

She learned structure. She learned boundaries. She learned how to channel that big energy into being the incredible dog we knew she was. And then she found her family.

We saw pictures of her out on adventures. Continuing her training. Living life.

And then we got the call no rescue ever wants.

Her family was going through some hard things… and Ripley ended up back at the shelter.

But here’s the thing.

She didn’t get left there.

We went and got our girl.

When she came back to us, we noticed her ear had some damage — likely from another dog. She’s a big girl, and sometimes other dogs can feel intimidated by that. But Ripley? She still shows up. She still plays well in group play. She still trusts.

After spending time back in our training program, she is ready again.

Ready for a family that understands that big dogs need leadership.
Ready for a family that will continue her training (and yes — we provide FREE training support because we want you to succeed).
Ready for a family that won’t give up when life gets hard.

Ripley deserves the forever that sticks.

She deserves the hikes. The couch naps. The structure. The stability. The love.

I need to talk to you about something important.

Right now… we are full.

Our dogs are ready.
They’ve done the work.
They’ve learned the skills.
Many have passed their Canine Good Citizen test.
They are prepared for their families.

And the shelters keep calling.

There are more dogs who need this program.

She came to us bursting with babies.

Marge arrived at the shelter pregnant, carrying an entire future inside her. Through our Pregnant Paws Program, she delivered her beautiful litter safely — and she was an incredible mama. Some of her pups are still looking for homes…

But now?

It’s her turn.

Marge is currently in our prison training program, working hard every day toward her Canine Good Citizen certification. She’s soaking up structure, manners, and confidence. She’s great in playgroups, loves to romp with other dogs, and then happily settles in to just hang out by your side.

Her best friend? Princess Leia — our founding mama of the Pregnant Paws Program. 💛

Marge has done her job. She raised her babies. She survived the shelter. She’s putting in the work.

Now she deserves someone who chooses her.

Those ears! That smile! That little hear tilt! Somebody tell Cara she doesn't have to be THIS adorable! 🐶❤️

Meet Cara, one sweet girl with a whole lot of puppy charm! This happy little lady is growing, learning, and discovering the world. She is currently in our prison puppy program. 🐾✨

Cara is getting a head start on all the important puppy skills including crate training, potty training, learning sit, down, and stand. She's building those skills one step at a time, and she's doing a great job. 📕🐶

Between all the new things to discover and all the fun that comes with being a puppy, Cara is ready to keep learning and take on whatever adventures come her way! And with that adorable face, we're pretty sure she'll have plenty of people cheering her on! 🥰

Cara is ready for her forever home! Want to meet Cara? She will be at the Pet Food Express in Roseville from 11:00AM- 2:00PM this Sunday 10/11. 1009 Galleria Blvd. 🏡
