The group worked hard to build a solid foundation of scientific practices and investigative techniques to provide a much needed service in the Greater Sacramento Area. In 2005, API became a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization as recognized by the State of California and the Federal government and is now run by

a working Board of Directors. The board and all members continue to work with commitment and dedication to provide help to those in need and to advance research in the paranormal field. API never charges for services provided, but does accept donations, which goes towards equipment, website maintenance, travel and other expenses incurred. Donations made to API are tax deductible and are always welcome. API’s mission is to investigate, document and provide help & intervention with paranormal & supernatural phenomena to clients in need. We take a practical approach to investigating the paranormal and try to find answers for our clients. 🎙 THINGS THAT AREN'T EVPs

One of the biggest misconceptions in paranormal investigation is that every unexplained sound on a recording is evidence of the paranormal.

The truth is, many audio anomalies have perfectly natural explanations.

Radio interference, investigators talking in another room, environmental noises, and even audio pareidolia can all create sounds that seem significant at first listen.

That's why evidence should never be judged by a single clip alone.

At API, we review recordings carefully, compare notes, examine environmental conditions, and look for corroborating evidence before drawing conclusions.

Good investigations aren't about proving a haunting.

They're about finding the truth.

Something new just landed in the UFO file release and it’s raising more questions than answers.

Newly released records and images include Apollo mission anomalies, FBI witness material, and unexplained aerial sightings reviewed by the government.
No official alien confirmation.
No smoking gun.
But, definitely enough mystery to keep the conversation alive.

CASE FILE: The Santa Rosa "Power Struggle" (PART 2)

Following the violent "dresser incident" reported by our client, we knew the energy in this Santa Rosa home was intense. Our investigation was designed to uncover whether this was a singular poltergeist event or something more complex.

What we found was a house in the middle of a 20-year power struggle.

The Evidence Captured:

🏛️ The Staircase Anomaly:
Throughout the night, our team documented consistent energy spikes at the top of the staircase. While thermal imaging remained dormant, our EMF and temperature meters reacted in the exact same spot repeatedly, confirming a fixed point of concentrated energy.

🎧 The "Phantom Hands":
One of the most chilling captures of the night occurred on our stationary audio recorders. Left untouched in an empty, locked room, the recorders captured the distinct sounds of being picked up and handled by invisible hands.

🗣️ The "I Love You" Message:
During our final session, the Spirit Box cut through the tension with a clear, emotional message. A voice—suspected to be our client’s late step-mother—came through with a clear "I love you." This moment marked a visible shift in the atmosphere, moving from a state of conflict to one of support for our client.

The Conclusion:
Through a combination of dowsing, electronic communication, and environmental readings, we determined that the home was caught between a dominant male entity who has claimed the space for two decades and a group of newer female spirits. By identifying these "players," our client was able to reclaim her space and find the peace she had been searching for.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Case Closed / No further action at this time.

🏰 Exploring the Shadows of Preston Castle

Our team recently stepped back in time and perhaps into another realm at the historic Preston Castle in Ione, CA. This Romanesque Revival masterpiece served as a reform school for decades, but today, its towering red brick walls hold more than just history.

While the architecture is breathtaking, the real stories are found in the quiet, dimly lit hallways. Our members had some spine-tingling encounters that they won’t soon forget:

👤 Shadows in the Hall: "I may have seen shadow movement in a room at the end of a long hall on the 2nd floor with nothing outside the windows to cause it."

👂 Whispers from the Past: "I thought I heard a sigh or whisper in the boys' dorm (Company B) that no one admitted to doing. There was lots of sound that didn't match up to anybody there."

From the "Plunge Bath" to the basement, the energy of the castle is undeniable. Whether it’s the visual of a skeleton in a Santa hat or the heavy silence of the infirmary, Preston Castle remains one of the most active and atmospheric locations we’ve ever visited.
