Happy heavenly birthday, Jackson. 💙I can’t believe you would be 7 years old today.

For Jackson’s birthday this year, we finally did a thing. Because of so many incredible supporters, we were able to make our very first donation on behalf of Jackson Roars.

We chose Live Like Jake, a foundation dedicated to childhood drowning prevention. I learned about this amazing organization through a group for parents who have lost a child—and Jake’s and Jackson’s stories are just two of far too many that share painful similarities.

Our small charity doesn’t have the infrastructure to support large initiatives like swim scholarships, but we can do our part by supporting organizations that do. It feels meaningful to honor Jackson this way—by helping protect other kids and families. While this is just our first, small donation, there will be many more to come.

Thank you to everyone who continues to remember Jackson and help us create a legacy in his short years with us.

I wish EVERY pediatrician in the country would ask these questions!!! Maybe we would see a drop in these outrageous numbers. Thank you Premier Pediatrics of Palm Beach for going above and beyond to make sure your patients are water safe!!!

We recently learned that one of our local charities was out of kids winter gear, many of whom do not currently have a home.

A huge thanks to everyone that helped provide about 80 items (20+ coats plus hats, mittens, boots and blankets!).

As always, we donated with dignity- only gently used, washed and despite how this pic looks, organized. I encourage everyone to take the extra time for this important step. It makes an huge difference in showing you care.

Earlier this year, TOPS created the Jackson Britz Swimming Scholarship to offer swimming lessons through Foss Swim School to kiddo’s who have ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorders) like Jackson. Jackson was a friend of TOPS who tragically lost his life in a drowning accident in 2022. This scholarship was created to honor Jackson’s life. Jackson’s family has started a charity called .roars and you can find out more about the wonderful work they are doing in his honor as well at their FB page.

Meet Gerald, the first recipient of the Jackson Britz Swim Scholarship. Gerald has been attending swimming lessons since the summer of this year and he is making tremendous progress. Mom reports that he is swimming like a fish and doesn’t want to leave the water. His instructor is phenomenal; reportedly going to school for ASL and is using ASL with him! Thank you to for helping make this possible!

This is an important day for us to keep kids safe!

The lack of street lights and sidewalks in our neighborhood is frightening! Currently preparing glow sticks for all the kiddos we see tonight.
