As we come to the close of May and Mental Health Awareness Month, we are reminded that the Lord always works with purpose — even in moments we may not fully understand at the time.

When Clark Richard Crosser came into the life of myself and Building a Refuge, it was during a season when both Clark and our organization needed something greater than we could have planned ourselves. What began as a connection through difficult circumstances has grown into a friendship and brotherhood that is truly special.
Clark was walking through an incredibly painful season of loss and heartbreak, yet through faith, community, and vulnerability, his story continues to become one filled with hope, healing, and purpose. His willingness to share his journey reminds us that even in tragedy, God is still present — working quietly behind the scenes to restore, strengthen, and remind us that we are never alone.
At Building a Refuge, we believe every story has the power to create hope for someone else. Clark’s story is a powerful reminder that healing does not happen overnight, but through support, faith, friendship, and honest conversation, hope can rise again.
As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to an end, our mission does not. We will continue standing beside those who are hurting, creating safe places for conversation, and reminding people that their life matters.
Thank you, Clark, for your courage, your friendship, and for allowing your story to help others find hope. And for teaching us how to take our stories to the world through LDR Studios, LLC !
