June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month — a reminder that no man should ever feel like he has to carry life’s struggles alone.

Rock N Ride for Hope 2026 - A Ride. A Rally. A Reason

At Building a Refuge, we believe that support, friendship, vulnerability, and community can truly save lives. Sometimes hope begins with something as simple as a conversation, a handshake, a prayer, or someone willing to say, “I’m here for you.”

That is why events like the Rock N Ride for Hope mean so much to us. This ride is more than motorcycles and live music — it is a community coming together to stand beside men who may be hurting in silence. It is a reminder that every story matters and every life has purpose.

On Saturday, June 27th, we invite you to join us for the 2026 Rock N Ride for Hope as we continue our mission of “One Story at a Time to Create HOPE.”

Whether you ride, volunteer, sponsor, donate, or simply show up in support, you are helping us create a safe place for men to be seen, heard, supported, and loved.

Together, we can continue breaking the stigma around mental health and su***de prevention — and remind people that they are never alone.

As we wrap up the last day of May and Mental Health Awareness Month, I wanted to take an opportunity to personally share my story with all of you through this podcast.

https://youtu.be/Xz1tsphVlaE?si=fXWO7-mh6h0LIF54

In this episode, I open up about how our family has been impacted by the loss of loved ones to su***de twice in the past 10 years. These losses have brought unimaginable pain and heartbreak to our family, but through it all, I still believe there is HOPE.

Our mission at Building a Refuge has always been “One Story at a Time to Create Hope,” and it is my prayer that by sharing this story, someone who may be struggling feels less alone and finds the courage to keep going.

Please take the opportunity to listen, share, and support our mission of bringing awareness, conversation, and hope to those who are hurting.

If you are struggling, please reach out.📞 Call or text 988📱 Text REFUGE to 494949Most importantly — talk to somebody. You are not alone.

As we come to the close of May and Mental Health Awareness Month, we are reminded that the Lord always works with purpose — even in moments we may not fully understand at the time.

When Clark Richard Crosser came into the life of myself and Building a Refuge, it was during a season when both Clark and our organization needed something greater than we could have planned ourselves. What began as a connection through difficult circumstances has grown into a friendship and brotherhood that is truly special.

Clark was walking through an incredibly painful season of loss and heartbreak, yet through faith, community, and vulnerability, his story continues to become one filled with hope, healing, and purpose. His willingness to share his journey reminds us that even in tragedy, God is still present — working quietly behind the scenes to restore, strengthen, and remind us that we are never alone.

At Building a Refuge, we believe every story has the power to create hope for someone else. Clark’s story is a powerful reminder that healing does not happen overnight, but through support, faith, friendship, and honest conversation, hope can rise again.

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to an end, our mission does not. We will continue standing beside those who are hurting, creating safe places for conversation, and reminding people that their life matters.

Thank you, Clark, for your courage, your friendship, and for allowing your story to help others find hope. And for teaching us how to take our stories to the world through LDR Studios, LLC !
