MAIN TAKEWAY: The number of county jails cooperating with ICE to detain individuals has DOUBLED in the last 9 months.

Thanks to everyone at Indiana Undocumented Youth Alliance (IUYA), Indivisible Central Indiana, and Progressive Democrats of America who came out to the demonstration in front of Congressman Jefferson Shreves' Greenwood office to demand that Hoosier leaders invest in community housing NOT concentration Camp Atterbury!

WHY WERE PEOPLE DEMONSTRATING?!?
Congressman Shreves represents Indiana's 6th Congressional District where the National Guard post Camp Atterbury is located (about 45 minutes from Indianapolis). In July, it was announced by the Department of Defense that ICE was going to be permitted to detained up to 1000 immigrants at Camp Atterbury. Congressman Shreves has gone on record in support of DOD's decision.

If you live in the 6th District, call Rep. Shreves' office this week at (202) 225-3021 and say you stand with today's protestors and demand that he reverse his support of ICE using Camp Atterbury.
