This month’s Nightcap took us to in Irvington! 🍔🎶

We enjoyed the live music, beautiful weather, and time spent with neighbors on the patio last night. One of the best parts of Nightcap is getting to support the local businesses that continue to invest in our community while creating spaces that bring people together.

A big thank you to the team at Smash’d for hosting us, and to everyone who joined us for a great evening in Irvington. See you at the next Nightcap at !

With support from a recent City of Indianapolis Department of Metropolitan Development cultural district grant, the Irvington Development Organization partnered with Irvington resident Aaron Stillerman of Stillerman Design Co. to develop a visual identity for the Irvington Cultural District.

Aaron’s work may already feel familiar through the Historic Irvington Halloween Festival’s 80th Anniversary logo, as well as the branding for his wife’s business, Salon Citrine, and other creative work throughout the neighborhood.

The goal was never to reinvent Irvington. It was to reflect it: the architecture, the history, the storytelling traditions, and the creative energy that keeps this neighborhood unmistakably itself.

What you're seeing today is a concept rendering. It's a first step, with more neighborhood integration still to come. But this felt like the right moment to begin sharing where things are headed.

This logo is more than a design. It is the visual identity of the Irvington Cultural District and will serve as a foundation for future signage, public art, and neighborhood investments.

Our volunteers, Casey, Edward, Kevin, Matt, and Shelley were out this morning cleaning along the circle, focusing on the curbs, ahead of the Irvington Community Council’s work in May. Thank you for showing up and putting in the work. Extra appreciation to Edward for leading the effort and making sure it happened after the reschedule.

We will continue alongside the Blue Line improvements. If you want to help, reach out and join us!
