VFW Post 7714, Montour Valley

VFW Post 7714, Montour Valley Recognized by the plane outside our building. Open for Veterans and Social members. Events year round

Our post is located on Steubenville Pike in North Fayette, Pa, and it is commonly recognized by the signature airplane out front. Inside, we have a full-size bar (canteen) to serve food and drinks at all times, a dining area, and pool/entertainment area. We also have a dart board, small games of chance, 3 Tv's, and a 120" projector screen for larger events. We host events throughout the year, including fundraisers and bingo!

Flag Day is not a federal public holiday. Banks stay open and the mail still runs. It is a day of recognition, not a day off. In a way, that suits it. Flag Day asks nothing of us except attention. It invites every American to step outside, raise the colors, and remember that the symbol overhead is older than almost anything else we share.

From thirteen stars to fifty, through war and reconstruction and reinvention, the flag has been there the whole time. Flag Day is simply the moment we stop to say so.
