Today is the LAST day to apply for the Pagosa Springs novice mentored spring turkey hunt.

The mentored hunting event will span the weekend of April 11-12, 2026 following the turkey hunting seminar. Hunts will be guided by Colorado Parks and Wildlife Officers and occur on private properties around Pagosa Springs.

The event is focused on introducing new and novice hunters to turkey hunting. No hunting experience is necessary, but selected hunters must possess a valid hunter safety card. Apprentice licenses are not valid for this hunt. In addition, a spring over-the-counter turkey license is required on or before April 11th. selected hunt participants will be notified by April 1st.
