ATTENTION Ignacio Youth Baseball Families,
IMPORTANT FALL BALL UPDATE:
Our registration numbers are far lower than we expected. We're currently at:
8U: 6 players registered
10U: 7 players registered
12U: 1 player registered
Unfortunately, if registration numbers do not increase, there is a possibility that we will not be able to field teams this fall.
Our original registration deadline was Friday, August 14, which matched Bayfield's deadline. However, because middle school sports begin practicing on August 11, we don't want families to miss the opportunity to register for another fall sport if we are unable to form teams.
To give families as much notice as possible, we are moving our registration deadline to Monday, August 10. This will allow us to determine whether we have enough players to move forward and provide refunds in time for families to register for another activity. Bayfield has also agreed to extend their registration deadline from August 7 to August 14, giving families additional flexibility.
We wanted to give you this update now so you have as much time as possible to make other plans if we are unable to field a team. We will notify all registered families shortly after the August 10 deadline with a final decision for each division.
Thank you for your understanding, support, and patience. We truly appreciate your commitment to Ignacio Youth Baseball.
Sincerely,
Ignacio Youth Baseball Board
