Japton Community Park The Japton Community park has been a place for our entire community to gather for decades.

We rely solely on donations and fundraisers for maintenance and improvements.

Tonight Robert Samuels and I will be at Madison County Fair selling raffle tickets. Henry tickets$5 each, freezer/hog tickets $10 each come visit and buy some raffle tickets. September 12th hog/freezer drawing. Henry drawing once we sell 500 tickets total. Each Henry ticket helps improve the park. The freezer/hog raffle ticket helps the fire department.

The Japton community soccer league is moving their play day to Saturdays at noon. The Park Board will do our best to open the concession stand. When they are playing provided one of us is available. Come out watch them and get a snack and or a cold drink. We have pizza by the slice for purchase when we are open. We have two choices of flavor currently. If there is a demand for it. We will consider adding a few flavor choices. We are currently trying this out as an offer for folks to enjoy while visiting the park.

Thank you everyone who came by and bought raffle tickets. The Park earned $125 today! Between ticket sales and donations. We are so grateful for all the support. Don't forget will be at the fair next week. We are next to Bohannon F.D. table

We are at Skyhigh Arena waiting folks get here. If your out and about we got Henry and freezer/hog tickets for sale. Come see us!

Tomorrow I will be at the ATV Rodeo from noon till whenever tickets for the Henry and freezer/hog stop selling. Henry's are $5 each and $10 for the freezer/hog. If you can't come there. I have tickets at the park when the concession stand is open. Please be pacient my husband will be my helper for this event. *Once we sell all 500 tickets. We will announce when the Henry will be given away.*

Our refrigerator freezer was working yesterday when I checked it. At the current time I guess we will keep an eye on it. We do not want to change it out till we have to. Thank you to everyone who reached out with offers. We appreciate it. It's a great feeling when our concession stand needs something folks step up to help us out.

Park Board Members will be at the ATV Rodeo on Saturday at Skyhigh Arena. Selling raffle tickets for the Henry and the Fire Department's freezer/hog. Henry tickets are $5 each and freezer/hog are $10 cash only please. We will be setting up at noon when the gates open till people quit buying. Rodeo starts at three. Please remember each ticket sold goes to benefit our community. The park is putting our money towards upgrades. The fire department uses theirs to cover department's needs. No board members are paid for their time. *A copy of ATV rodeo Flyer is in comments. *

If anyone possibly has a working refrigerator they are willing to part with. The park is in need of one. We believe ours is going out. Dose not need to be beautiful just functional. Trying to buy local if possible before looking further away. You can contact any board member with your offer.

These are pictures of the Japton community soccer league enjoying our field. We are so excited to see they are growing league wise. Our concession stand had its best day yet. We will be offering pizza for sale at the concession stand when we are open. Along with snacks and giant pickles, Gatorade, water and sodas.

Yesterday the volunteers picked up rocks and moved branches out of the way. Today our play ground was a happening area. The young ones were enjoying having more running areas. We will be ordering nets for kiddy goals. They will have their own play area so it won't interfere with our teen/adult players. We are sharing some pictures for our community to admire the young people's hard work yesterday. And the soccer team playing at what I call "Our Field of Dreams." These are your donations at work for our community. Thank you everyone who bought concessions and raffle tickets. Our park is still growing a little at a time. We are getting a little closer each time something is purchased. All money we earn goes back into the park itself.
