Japton Community Park The Japton Community park has been a place for our entire community to gather for decades.

We rely solely on donations and fundraisers for maintenance and improvements.

Even though the park isn't hosting a Halloween event this year. Please take your family to the fire department Halloween night they will be handing out goodies. You can see their post on the Japton/Georgetown page with the times.

The park won't be participating in Halloween this year. A Church requested to use the park. We will be working on planning next year's Halloween event for the community. We look forward to seeing everyone next Halloween.

Today we had an excellent turn out for Japton community soccer league . They continue every weekend to have their regulars while attracting folks from other areas. Today we had a vehicle from Oklahoma. If your an adult or teenager come out on Saturday and play. They are co-ed team. Bring the family and enjoy the fresh air, we also have a playground for the youngin's. Our concession stand is open for snacks and drinks. They usually start around noon.

If you go by the park. Keep an eye out we appear to have a pair of Eagles living near. I have seen them in the park a couple of times near the baseball side. They may be active this week due to left overs from the fish fry.

We the board are already working on next year's events. If you enjoyed The Franklin Boys Bluegrass Band. We have asked them to consider playing for our Valentines Day Fundraiser on February 13th, 2027. If you missed yesterday. And they are available you have a chance to hear them play or if you got hear them last night. You can possibly her them again in our community in February.

The three you men in the first picture are The Franklin Boys Bluegrass Band. If you didn't get to meet them at the fish fry this year. Hopefully you will get a chance at a future event. If your a Bluegrass fan these young men do great playing and singing it.
