Local 196’s 1st Annual Golf Outing was a major success yesterday in Huntley!

A huge thank you to all of our sponsors and the members who came out to support this inaugural event. Your participation made the day a tremendous success.

The outing brought together a great mix of retirees, local contractors, neighboring IBEW locals, International Representatives, and a special guest, Paddy Kavanagh, General Secretary of Connect Trade Union in Ireland.

A special thank you goes out to Ryan Russo for organizing such a fantastic event. Your hard work and dedication made this day possible.

We’re already looking forward to making it even bigger and better at our 2nd Annual Golf Outing in 2027!

After yesterday’s severe weather, hundreds of contractors are making their way into our area to assist with storm restoration.

Let us know what areas you are in. Our representatives will be out across the jurisdiction checking tickets, visiting crews, and handing out Local 196 swag.

If you see new contractors or crews coming into the area, take some pictures, get any information you can, and call the Union Hall so we know where everyone is working

Work safe and keep an eye on each other, and make sure everyone goes home safe.
