Additional Congratulations, Bravos and Kudos for Mrs. Russo, Children's Librarian at Hubbard Public Library for more than 38(!!) years! Her contributions and service are phenomenal and her legacy will continue forever! This month (June 2026), she will receive the prestigious "I Love My Librarian 2026 Award" from the American Library Association (ALA) at their annual Convention in Chicago! We’re proud to celebrate Hubbard Public Library 's longtime Children’s Librarian, Mary Anne Russo, who has been named a 2026 recipient of the American Library Association’s prestigious "I Love My Librarian" Award — a national honor recognizing librarians who make an extraordinary impact in their communities.
Throughout her remarkable career, Mary Anne created welcoming spaces and innovative programs that inspired learning, creativity, and connection for children and families. From the StoryWalk® to Outdoor Musical Instruments and other engaging experiences supported in part through BRHF grant funding, her work has helped bring literacy, play, and wellbeing outdoors and into the community.
It’s always exciting to see dedicated community leaders recognized for the difference they make every day — and Mary Anne’s legacy is one that will continue to benefit local families for years to come.
