Aldine Education Foundation

Aldine Education Foundation The Aldine Independent School District traces its origins back to the 1870s, as a collection of rural school houses in north and central Harris County.

The mission of Aldine Education Foundation is to provide community-based support to the Aldine Independent School District in pursuit of excellence in teaching, innovation in the classroom, and superior learning opportunities for all students. Today, it is home to 70,000 students and spans 77 campuses. For more than 20 years, AISD has worked in partnership with Lone Star College (LSC) to provide a

path to higher education and Aldine Education Foundation is an expansion on that goal. Only 56% of Aldine students attend college within one year of high school graduation but AEF is raising significant funds to increase that number. Over 80% of Aldine’s students are economically disadvantaged, and 66% are considered at-risk. To aid Aldine ISD in reaching it's mission to “Produce the Nation’s Best” students, Aldine relies on support from its surrounding community and alumni through Aldine Education Foundation.

We are proud to partner with organizations that invest directly in educators and student success.

Our team was honored to join Whataburger in presenting Nimitz High School Culinary Teacher, Chef Jessica Blount, with a $500 grant to support her culinary program and students. 🍔👏

Supporting education through meaningful community partnerships is at the heart of our mission, and we are grateful for opportunities to help create lasting impact for both teachers and students.

We are especially proud to celebrate two of our own board members, Marine Jones and Dr. Charlotte J. Davis, who were recognized among the inaugural honorees for their leadership and lasting impact. The Prize Posse is always one of our favorite days of the year.

There is nothing like walking into a classroom and surprising an educator with the resources they need to bring bold ideas to life. The excitement from students. The emotion from teachers. The energy across campus. It’s powerful.

Through our Innovative Teaching Grants, in partnership with Whataburger, the Aldine Education Foundation is investing directly in creativity, innovation, and real-world learning across Aldine ISD.

When we fund educators, we fuel student opportunity.

Congratulations again to this year’s grant recipients, and thank you to Whataburger for helping make it possible!
