Even in the heat of Summer, Blue Santa is working towards Christmas.

The Houston Police Department's Blue Santa is a non-profit organization/program, that was created in 1984. The organization was created so that officers who participate in the program could provide Christmas gifts to children who may otherwise not receive any toys for Christmas. There are several reasons that families fall on hard times, and it is the officers who participate in the program who feel obligated to do more for these families and especially the children. Therefore it is the officer who participate in the program who also have a portion of their paychecks deducted in order to fund the organization. These officers are happy to fund the program, although If you would like to donate to the program in order to assist us in making an even greater impact in our community please feel free to email us at [email protected]
