Spring Creek Community Center Your hub for events, local businesses & community spirit in Spring Creek, NC! ⛰️

Stay connected, explore the beauty of our town & support local.

Follow for updates & ways to get involved! During the 1920’s local farmers donated the land, hauled the rock and supplied the labor to construct the school. The first graduation class was 1930. Due to consolidation of the Madison County Schools this building was abandoned in 1989. In March of 1999 a group of local citizen volunteers organized the Spring Creek Community Center Board. Their goal is

to restore the stone building and attract needed resources to strengthen the community economy and identity. Ideally, the old school will become a new active community center providing a place for all ages to learn, socialize, and obtain some local employment to help preserve our rural heritage and family farms.

**Dave’s 209 News update May 7th**

Good morning friends and community,
We are sorry for the break in service hours. Change in life are sometimes unavoidable, and this is what has been happening. While we acknowledge this has been inconvenient, it has been necessary to find the path. We are looking at how to proceed. Taking into account health, economy, and balance. We are plotting our reopen to be able to resume service for you all. We expect there will be some changes as the challenges we face evolve. This includes hours, menu items, and service methods.

Because we have stopped service, resuming service may look different at the start. This is a normal method to restarting a machine. Easing it back to full power, ensuring everything is operating as expected. Please try to understand, our objective is to resume and excel with the service you have come to expect from D209. This may take some time to fully achieve but we are dedicated to the goal.

**Here is what we anticipate**
To begin, we are forecasting a reopen Friday 5/15, 1130am-730pm with our 3pm fish Friday in full service. Our temp schedule hours look to be Friday 1130-730, Saturday 1130-730, Sunday 1130-5. 3 days a week, as things start going. We will be looking to add days of operation as things start moving. Menu items, we have made some temporary adjustments. We are also changing systems to provide faster quality service.

Thank you all for your love and support over these past 11 years, it has been a pleasure and an honor to provide and serve you. And we look forward to continuing to do so for the foreseeable future! We couldn't have made it this far without all the support and love from you all, and we are endlessly grateful! - Dave Thomas
