Spring Creek Community Center

Spring Creek Community Center Your hub for events, local businesses & community spirit in Spring Creek, NC! ⛰️

Stay connected, explore the beauty of our town & support local.

Follow for updates & ways to get involved! During the 1920’s local farmers donated the land, hauled the rock and supplied the labor to construct the school. The first graduation class was 1930. Due to consolidation of the Madison County Schools this building was abandoned in 1989. In March of 1999 a group of local citizen volunteers organized the Spring Creek Community Center Board. Their goal is

to restore the stone building and attract needed resources to strengthen the community economy and identity. Ideally, the old school will become a new active community center providing a place for all ages to learn, socialize, and obtain some local employment to help preserve our rural heritage and family farms.

We had 33 full donations! 4 folk had to move on due to wait times.
This was the best turn out in Spring Creek History!!
Congratulations to all who were involved!!
We had several walk ins and 30 scheduled.
I will advocate for future drives to be held indoors and with more nurses. I am interested in the communitiy's feed back concerning changes moving forward.
We have had incredible results for our recent history that may allow us to upgrade our drives for more support.
Thank you!
Let's shape these drives to suit our community.
The next drive opened this morning for October 4th. Let's get signed up to show that we need an upgrade!

Thanks again to you all who can do this.
I'm so proud! You should be too!

It’s time for the annual community center meeting. Please join us on Thursday, August 13th from 5-7pm.

We’ll begin the evening by sharing a meal together! Dinner will be served promptly at 5:00 p.m., giving everyone an opportunity to enjoy good food and connect with neighbors before the meeting begins.

Topics to be discussed:
Welcome & Review of the Year
Grounds Committee Update
Business Center & Membership
Tenant Leases, available rentals
Finance Report
Volunteers & Committees
Fundraising & Events
Looking Ahead
Questions & Open Discussion
Each topic will begin with a brief five-minute presentation highlighting key accomplishments, updates, and future plans. Following these summaries, presenters will move to designated discussion tables throughout the room.

Community members are then invited to visit the tables that interest them most, allowing them to ask questions, learn more about specific topics, and have meaningful conversations with committee members and volunteers. This open-house format gives everyone the opportunity to focus on the areas they care about most while encouraging discussion, feedback, and community engagement.

The Spring Creek Community Center has always welcomed nominations for individuals interested in serving on the Board of Directors. To encourage continued community involvement and leadership, we are now actively inviting nominations to be submitted at our Annual Meeting and at each monthly Board meeting throughout the year.

If you know someone who is passionate about our community, committed to our mission, and interested in helping shape the future of the Spring Creek Community Center, we encourage you to submit their name for consideration. We welcome individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and perspectives who are eager to serve our community.
