We had a good night tonight passing out meals. Hot dogs, beans, and chips. I think it's a simple meal, but our homeless friends seem to be excited when we tell them it's hot dogs.
We handed a meal to one man who was very hungry; he immediately started eating. As we pulled off, I looked back and he was clapping so hard over what I call a simple meal! It kinda made me tear up a little.
Another young lady thanked me over and over for the meal. She wanted to give me a present for being kind to her. My present was three perfume samples, a pair of earrings, and three little dinosaurs đŸ¦•.
We drove over to Walmart and met a sweet older lady who was also excited about the meal. She couldn't believe we had her two hot dogs, beans, chips, and ketchup. She asked Ed if there was anything we wanted; what would it be? Ed told her that she could pray for his mom. She wanted to know specifically what to pray for. Ed told her, and she stood up and began to pray for complete healing for Julie Johnson. Such a sweet prayer.
We also meet two new friends, Shane and Angel. Please remember them; they are both trying to get clean. We had prayer with them. Tears flowed from both of them. Pray that they can find the right help and get clean and off the streets.
I just wanted to share a few stories from tonight. Some nights, our homeless friends just need to talk and know that they are cared for. I couldn't tell you how many times we were told 'I love you'.
We are on a Mission from God!
