Today I experienced "A Black Man's Joy" !!!

I picked up my sons and their friend at 8:30am to attend the Men's Breakfast at Brown Temple CME Church. Matt and Mychal Bacoate Tommy Littlejohn Franklin Meade Daniel Young .Great company, great conversations and great connections.
Afterwards my sons helped me unload and unpack our weekend food drop from Brother James. And then we shopped with Michelle and Freddie White at New York Fashions.
We then picked up my wife Brandi Nicole Hayes and my daughter so that we could have some quality family time. We headed to Memorial Stadium and that's where we took the picture below. It was such a pleasure being around this young people!! Ive had the priviledge of knowing alot of them for a long time. The respect they displayed was a tribute to the adults that raise them. You should be proud. The patience they had with the only girl that was running behind her brother's was a testament to their morals and values. The laughter they shared with each other was infectious and a reminder of how we used to be.
One of the highlights was visiting Noir Collective on Market Street and picking up a few books and pieces of art for Umoja Health, Wellness and Justice Collective. I love seeing my friends Alexandria ravenel Ajax Ravenel and David Greenson.
After that, we spent time at the mall before I ended my night at the YMI Cultural Center reading a scene for an upcoming play at a Celebration of the Arts event. I got to hug some more of beauty friends Jenny Pickens Elizabeth Ivey Tor White-Garrison and a few more.
It might not mean much to you, but it meant the world to me. The joy of being free to be me is a joy that I will always hold on to.
