Thank you to everyone who joined us for this month’s Garland County Alliance Meeting as we came together to focus on Child Abuse Prevention.
This was a powerful and meaningful discussion, bringing together partners from across our community to share insight, raise awareness, and strengthen our collective response to protecting children and supporting families.
A special thank you to our panelists for sharing their knowledge, experiences, and the important work they do every day to keep children safe and families supported. Your voices are vital in helping us understand the challenges and, more importantly, the solutions.
One of the biggest takeaways from our discussion was this: one of the most effective ways to help prevent child abuse is by building rapport and maintaining open, consistent communication with families. When families feel seen, heard, and supported, we create opportunities to step in early, build trust, and prevent crises before they escalate.
Throughout the conversation, it was clear—child abuse prevention is a shared responsibility. It takes all of us—schools, law enforcement, nonprofits, healthcare providers, and community members—working together to recognize signs, respond early, and support families.
At 100 Families Garland County, we remain committed to walking alongside families beyond the moment of crisis—connecting them to resources, building strong care teams, and creating pathways to long-term stability.
👏 Thank you to everyone who continues to show up, collaborate, and be part of the solution.
If you’re not yet connected and would like to get involved, we would love to have you join us at a future meeting!
