Huge shout out to the Momma that organized a very large donation of $3,000 through friends, family, and a work donation match program. The donation arrived through Benevity last month. While my contract with Benevity says I’m unable to share the donors, I can say that this pushed the budget into the black for the first time this year! Thanks so much!!

Apologies to anyone who is waiting for a blanket or response to email. August comes at me swinging as it’s the month my own little was stillborn. I went right from navigating the emotional toll that takes to celebrating my son graduating from basic training. To say I’m tired is an understatement. I will be back in the office on Monday!

I am in several Facebook groups for pregnancy and infant loss. Yesterday, for the first time, I saw a photo of beautiful 20 week twin boys and recognized an item of clothing as one from Angel Blankets. A quick check in with the mom, and yes, she delivered in a hospital I’ve worked with for years.

The items are going where they are needed and I’ve seen the sweet faces who receive them. The complexity of emotions is indescribable.
