Update today from Father Michael:

Parish Council:
After praying for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the following were chosen “by lot” to serve on the Parish Council: Three Year Term – Pat Cilento, Patricia O’Keefe Nolan, Brian Brady and Donald Thomas. One Year Term – Samantha Orefice and Ben Scampoli. We invite them to our final meeting of the school year tomorrow (Monday) at 7:00 pm in the Bishop Dom Room. We thank them and all who were nominated for their willingness to serve.

Merger of St Kateri & St Denis:
Due to a continuing shortage of priests, it was announced this week that the Parishes of St. Kateri, Lagrangeville and St. Denis, Hopewell Junction would be merged under the leadership of one Pastor, effective July 1. Father Joseph McLafferty, presently the Pastor of St. Kateri, will be the Pastor of both parishes. We bid a fond farewell to Father Andrew Carozza, who has been asked to temporarily serve at Regina Coeli Parish in Hyde Park. He will be helping Father Michael Morris, who has been diagnosed with cancer and will be receiving treatment. Prayers are asked for all.

Prayers for Bishop Dom' Recovery:
Bishop Dominick Lagonegro has been experiencing complications caused by the use of Eliquis, a blood thinner. He has been hospitalized and had a surgical procedure early Saturday morning and is now recovering nicely. Upon discharge, he will continue to recuperate at the St. John Vianny Clergy Residence in Riverdale, the Bronx. Please pray for him.
