🚒🚑 Chances are, if you were out and about yesterday, you might have come across our crew working at an incident. Within the 24 hour shift, Hooksett Firefighters responded to 16 Calls for service. This includes 7 motor vehicle accident, and several mutual aid responses.

Until 15:00, crews were operating at the minimum staffing of 6 members (officer and 2 FFs at each station). This limits the department response to 2 apparatus, requiring mutual aid to come in more often. 🔥

Between calls, crews participated in annual hose testing, along with a group dinner at station 1. 🍔🌭

Currently, the Hooksett Fire Rescue Department is 105 calls ahead of last year, with potential to grow. Despite this, crews are committed to providing the best service possible with the utmost professionalism.

This morning, Group 4 received a call to the Central Station phone. The caller was the owner of a cat who had climbed into a tree about 30 hours prior, and was unable to get back down.

As an “all hazards” department, our firefighters are trained to respond to all incidents, including Fire, EMS, Rescue, and everything in between.

Ladder 2 (Lt. McMurray, Balise) and Ambulance 3 (Martin, McKenzie) responded to the address to find Tango, a 1 year old Female cat, stuck in a tree.

From there, crews spent about 1 hour attempting to free Tango from the tree. After some gentle persuasion, including a fresh can of tuna (generously donated by group 3’s food cabinet), your Hooksett Firefighters were able to pick her up from the branch and get her down safely.

Just before 11am, Tango was returned to her owners, and taken inside before the rain started.

Thank you to Tango’s owners, who graciously sent pizzas, soda, and Whoopie pies to the station!

Thank you to everyone who came out to Old Home Day and stopped by our French Fry Booth! 🍟

Over the years, our members have been working to master the art of hand-cut fries, always chasing the goal of serving the “best fries ever” while raising funds for our Local.

This year, we even had Governor Kelly Ayotte stop by to give them a try!

We appreciate everyone who supported the booth, grabbed some fries, and helped make another Old Home Day a success. Thank you for supporting Hooksett Firefighters Local 3264! 🚒🍟

🎉 Congratulations to Firefighter Gavin Martin on successfully completing his probationary year!

Gavin officially finished probation today after a year of hard work, training, and dedication.

Local 3264 would like to congratulate 3 of our probationary members, who all passed their National Registry exam to become licensed AEMT’s! 🚑

An Advanced EMT (AEMT) is able to expand their scope of practice beyond a basic EMT, including the ability to start IVs, administer different medications, treat pain, etc. 🩺

With these new advanced level providers, the department now operates with only AEMT’s and Paramedics. This allows patients to receive the highest level of care possible. 🚒

A Message from Chief Nadeau...
As promised, you are invited to join us for: A Community Moment of Remembrance - 25th Anniversary Memorial Event for the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States. Event will begin at 0830 hours and conclude at 1050 hours. We will be gathering outside the Safety Center Complex by the newly installed 9/11 artifact. You are welcome to join for some or all of the event. This will be held rain or shine. The HFRD Honor Guard will be leading the ceremony as outlined below. We hope you will join us.
