From Emerging Leaders connecting across the globe and Life Unmuted bringing young people together through storytelling, to a new online home for GCC and new collaborations taking shape, this summer has been full of opportunities to connect, create, and learn from one another.

Our new online home is officially live! 🌎

For more than 50 years, Global Citizens Circle has brought people together across differences to listen, learn, connect, and create positive change. Our history and vision remain at the heart of who we are, but we wanted a digital home that better reflects the GCC of today and where we're headed next.

Our refreshed website brings our story, programs, people, partnerships, GCC Voices, and opportunities to get involved together in one new space.

We’ve been working on a new and improved Global Citizens Circle website, creating an online home that better reflects who we are, the work we do, and the community that makes it all possible.

New on GCC Voices: Emerging Leader Aliza Kopans

“Whenever I see a young child, I smile and say to myself, ‘You don’t know it, but you’re my boss! I’m working to make the world a better place for you.’”

That spirit is also at the heart of GCC’s Emerging Leaders community: creating space for young people across the globe to share what they are working toward, learn across perspectives, build meaningful relationships, and strengthen one another’s efforts to create positive change.

In our latest GCC Voices, Pamme Cotter Boutselis sits down with Aliza to explore her path from public health to policy advocacy at East Boston Social Centers, the community that grounds her work, and why connecting with other emerging leaders gives her hope for what comes next.

Flashback Friday: Boston, 2002.

More than two decades ago, New England Circle, now Global Citizens Circle, convened Unlikely Peacemakers: Bereaved Israeli and Palestinian Parents Unite in Grief.

The Circle brought together Yitzhak Frankenthal, founder of the American Friends of the Parents Circle - Families Forum, and bereaved Israeli and Palestinian parents who had chosen to come together through unimaginable loss. The late Anthony Lewis, two-time Pulitzer Prize winner and New York Times columnist, moderated the conversation.

Looking back at this Circle feels especially meaningful as we reflect on the role collaboration has played throughout GCC’s history.

Coming together does not mean overlooking differences or difficult realities. It means creating space to listen, recognize one another’s humanity, and explore what might become possible when people choose dialogue over distance.

That belief has been part of the Circle for more than 50 years and continues to shape the partnerships, conversations, and connections we build today.

Change takes people willing to come together.

We’ve had a busy summer at Global Citizens Circle, and there’s so much more to come. 🫶

After a summer filled with collaboration, new connections, and plenty happening behind the scenes, we’re getting ready for a timely democracy Circle this fall.

Save the date: October 14, 2026 | 12–1 PM ET

This October, GCC and MCW Global will come together for Democracy in Practice: U.S. Challenges, Global Lessons, a new series exploring challenges facing democracy in the United States alongside perspectives and lessons from around the world.

Our first conversation, Expanding Opportunity: Making Democracy Deliver for Everyone, will ask how we can better understand who feels left out of democratic systems and what it takes to build a democracy that works for more people.

And that’s not all that’s coming. A refreshed GCC website, a GCC podcast in the works, new collaborations, and more opportunities to connect are all ahead.

For now, save the date. We’ll see you back in the Circle on October 14.

Today, on National Nonprofit Day, we’re celebrating the people, partners, and communities who make this work possible.

For more than 50 years, Global Citizens Circle has brought people together across differences to listen, learn, and take action on the issues shaping our shared world.

That work has never happened alone. It happens because of the people who show up, the partners who collaborate with us, the young people who share their voices, and the communities who continue to make room for meaningful dialogue.

Today, we’re especially grateful for everyone who has come together through the Circle and continues to believe in the power of connection to create positive change.

Here’s to the nonprofits, volunteers, leaders, partners, and communities working every day toward a more connected and hopeful world.

At Global Citizens Circle, partnership is at the heart of how we create meaningful change. The people and organizations we work alongside bring their own experiences, ideas, and strengths to the table, creating opportunities that wouldn't be possible alone.

From our ongoing collaboration with MCW Global to the launch of Life Unmuted alongside Filmbuilding, Lema Marwan, and Breakthrough Manchester, we're grateful to the partners who continue to share in this work with us.

Each collaboration may look different, but they're rooted in the same belief: bringing people together, creating space for dialogue, and building connections across communities.
