Rebels with a Cause – A Night of Giving Back!
Last night, two of our Hooksett Kiwanis members had the pleasure of attending and representing Hooksett Kiwanis at the Revo Casino Rebels with a Cause: Power of Community Gala! 🎉
It was inspiring to see so many local nonprofits come together, all working toward the same goal — making a difference in our communities!
A huge thank you to Revo Casino for its generosity, commitment to giving back, and continued support of organizations like ours.

But what exactly is SLP?

SLP stands for Service Leadership Programs. These programs give young people opportunities to develop leadership skills, build character, serve their community, and make a difference alongside their peers.

At Memorial School, our K-Kids program gives elementary students the opportunity to learn about leadership and community service while working on projects that help others.

🤝 How can students participate in service projects?
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 How can our family get involved?

The Hooksett Kiwanis 5K Trail Race & Kids Fun Run is Saturday, September 19!

Before heading out, here are the important details:

📍 PARKING: There is NO PARKING AT CIGNA. Runners and spectators should park on University Circle behind the Hooksett Library, using the designated side of the road and the cul-de-sac on Campus Drive. Volunteers will be available to help direct you.

🚌 SHUTTLES: Begin at 7:00 AM from the Hooksett Library to the Heads Pond trailhead. The last shuttle leaves at 8:15 AM.

🏁 5K START: 8:30 AM at Heads Pond Trail
🏆 AWARDS: Approximately 9:30 AM
📚 FINISH: Hooksett Public Library

👟 KIDS FUN RUN: 9:15 AM in front of the Hooksett Library. Registration closes at 9:10 AM, and all runners receive goody bags and books!

📝 REGISTRATION & BIB PICKUP: Saturday morning from 7:00–8:00 AM at the Hooksett Library. Pre-registered runners can also pick up their shirts and bibs during the Friday afternoon/evening pickup period at the library, noted in the Race Day instructions.

The Hooksett Kiwanis 5K Trail Race & Kids Fun Run is coming up Saturday, September 19 at 8:30 AM!

👟 Run it. Walk it. Have fun with it.
💲 Adults: $30 | Kids 12 & under: $5
📍 Start & finish at Hooksett Public Library
❤️ Proceeds support local youth programs, Hooksett Kids’ Kloset & the Community Food Pantry.

Hooksett Kiwanis is back!

We kicked off our fall season with our Welcome Back Dinner Meeting on September 9. President-Elect Bob Willey shared a look at a busy September and October ahead, including:

🏃 Sept. 19 — Hooksett Kiwanis Trail Race & Kids Fun Run
🥂 Oct. 1 — Hooksett Chamber of Commerce Gala
🏆 Oct. 2 — Hooksett Citizen of the Year Celebration, honoring Bob & Sue Willey
💙 Oct. 21 — Installation of our 2026–2027 officers and board

Following the business meeting, we were treated to a wonderful performance by local award-winning singer-songwriter Nicole Knox Murphy, who shared several original songs—including “My 603.” 🎶

Bob promised more fun and engaging programs like this as we begin the new Kiwanis year in October. We’re looking forward to a great year of community, service and fellowship!
