The Hall County Sheriffโs Office is encouraging residents and caregivers to use an online form to voluntarily provide information that could ๐ต๐ฒ๐น๐ฝ ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฟ๐๐ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฝ๐ผ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฎ๐๐๐ถ๐๐ ๐ถ๐ป๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ ๐๐ถ๐๐ต ๐ฝ๐ต๐๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น, ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐น ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ด๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ ๐ฑ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ด๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ or other calls for service.
The Loganโs Law registry allows residents and caregivers to share information about a person whose condition may affect how they communicate, interact or respond during an encounter with law enforcement officers, firefighters or emergency medical personnel.
Information provided through the registry can help responders understand an individualโs needs and adjust their approach when appropriate. It may be particularly helpful when someone has difficulty communicating, becomes overwhelmed or has behaviors that could affect interactions. For example, some individuals may be sensitive to loud noises or bright lights or become distressed when approached by uniformed personnel.
Information can include, but is not limited to:
โขPhysical, mental or neurological conditions
โขSensory or behavioral considerations
โขTriggers or circumstances that could cause distress or agitation
โขCommunication preferences or challenges
โขTechniques that may help during an encounter
Residents and caregivers are encouraged to provide information they believe may help public safety personnel better serve the registered individual.
The Hall County Loganโs Law form is encrypted and can be found on the Hall County website (see link below). Information submitted through the form is stored in a database managed and maintained by the Hall County Government 911 Division.
Loganโs Law, established through Georgia House Bill 631, provides a framework for voluntarily collecting and sharing information about individuals with physical, mental or neurological conditions that may affect their ability to communicate or interact with emergency responders.
