🌸🌸🌸 Bog rosemary is a short plant that resides in bogs, and has leaves that bear a stark resemblance to rosemary. It's pink flowers grow in clusters and are shaped like little lanterns. 🌸🌸🌸

This flower was found in the bog out on the trail behind the Wynn Nature Center this week while training our new summer interns about the procedures of phonology (tracking plant growth). 🌱

This plant is highly toxic, so don't confuse it with traditional rosemary, or the edible labrador tea! Take tour with the Wynn and learn how to identify it. 👩‍🎓

There’s still space in Wynn Exploration Camp this summer! 🌼🍃

Trying to get your 12-year-old outside? Wynn Exploration Camp is the PERFECT opportunity to dive deep into the forest and watershed of the Wynn Nature Center. Campers will learn about wild edible plants, wildlife, art in nature, wilderness survival skills, and so much more! 🤩🌿

4-day long sessions are Tuesdays-Fridays, 1-5pm at the Carl E. Wynn Visitor Center. $175 per child. Registration required. Learn more and register at akcoastalstudies.org/day-camps.
