REVIVAL 🔥 Before & During

It’s been over a week since the Central Territory met in Wheaton, IL for Revival - Ordination and Commissioning. Many of our territorial music groups, like the Chicago Staff Band, Central Territorial Staff Songsters and the Territorial Worship Collective participated in the weekend.

In the middle of Commissioning, the territorial level for Rising Stars took place featuring corps and individuals sharing their spiritual gifts of dance, drama, singing and instrumental performance. An award ceremony was held to congratulate all the winner for their hard work and dedication.

During our Saturday Revival Service, the dance group from the Blue Valley Corps in Missouri (who also participated in rising stars) performed a number filled with color, joy and love for the Lord.

We look back at REVIVAL with so much joy and we are excited for the revival that will shake us up and cause us to see God in new ways and for Jesus’ followers who will join Him in His work in our communities.

Rising Stars 2026 Recap🌟

This past Saturday, the territorial round of Rising Stars took place at Commissioning in Wheaton, IL. Youth from around the territory took the stage for their chance to win first place in their category.

We are so incredibly proud of all who shared their spiritual gifts through drama, dance, vocal, and instrumental performances + a huge congratulations to each individual and group that placed 1st. Your hard work paid off and we are honored that you help represent our Music & Creative Arts.

We’re excited to welcome Annelyse Spencer (North and Central Illinois Division) and Braden Cook (Great Lakes Division) as interns this summer!

Annelyse recently completed her Bachelor of Science in Education at Northern Illinois University and currently serves as a Music Instructor within her division. Braden is studying music at Central Michigan University and brings experience in percussion, worship leadership, and event support through both school and Salvation Army settings. They’ll be traveling to various divisions to teach at music camps and conservatories, while also helping plan Central Music Institute and Resonate Worship Arts Conservatory.

Their first day is June 1! We’re thankful for the skills and heart they'll bring to our ministry.
