Hobart Little League would like to give a HUGE thank you to Midwestern Electric for supporting our fundraiser for the Taylor family by purchasing 20 tickets to our Chicago Cubs fundraiser! ⚾️💙

When one of our own is going through something as difficult as this, it’s incredible to see our community come together and show that they don’t have to face it alone. ❤️

And we’d love to see that support continue! If you or your business would like to help, there are still tickets available for the September 13th Cubs game at Wrigley Field against the Pittsburgh Pirates for just $55 each. A portion of the proceeds will go directly toward helping the Taylor family with ongoing medical expenses.

Unfortunately, we have some difficult news to share. We have made the difficult decision to cancel our fall ball season.

After further assessment, the storm caused more damage to our fields and electrical system than we initially realized. We are currently dealing with significant power issues that came after our initial assessment, damage to our field lighting, and other equipment damage.

We want to make sure our fields are safe and that we are making the best decision for our players, families, coaches, and volunteers.

We will announce details regarding refunds, as soon as those details are finalized. We appreciate your patience while we work through the next steps.

Fall Ball is officially moving forward! 🎉

Here’s what everyone needs to know:

📅 Team selections: Monday, August 24th
📲 Coach contact: You should hear from your child’s coach by Tuesday evening, August 25th
⚾ Games begin: Tuesday, September 8th
📆 Game nights: Tuesdays & Thursdays

We know there won’t be much time to practice, but we’re looking forward to getting the kids out there and playing asap! ⚾

Please keep an eye out for a message from your child’s coach, and we’ll share more details on schedules and game times as soon as everything is finalized.

We know many of you are wondering about the upcoming fall ball season, especially after the significant damage our fields sustained during last week’s storm.
At this time, we unfortunately don’t have a clear plan or timeline for the fields, and we don’t want to give anyone information that may change.

We are currently assessing the situation and figuring out what options are available to us moving forward. As soon as we have more information regarding the season, we will share an update with everyone.

⛔ The fields are CLOSED until further notice. They have sustained substantial damage and, unfortunately, are currently unsafe to enter. Please do not enter the property or attempt to assess or clean up the damage at this time.

We greatly appreciate everyone who is willing to help get our fields back in shape. Once it is safe to do so, we will share a date and time for a community cleanup and would love to have your help!
For everyone’s safety, please stay away from the fields until further notice.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We’ll keep everyone updated as we know more regarding the upcoming season ⚾️

Thank you to everyone who registered for our fall ball season! ⚾️

Please be patient with us as we work out some details regarding the upcoming season.
Our coaches will be drafting teams over the next few days. Once teams have been finalized, coaches will begin reaching out to parents with team information.
Schedules will be released as soon as they’re finalized. We know everyone is excited to get started, and we appreciate your patience as we work through the process!

Thank you to everyone who came out and made this year’s Sandlot sessions such a success! ⚾💜💛

Unfortunately, there will be no Sandlot tonight but we are so grateful to all of our players, families, coaches, and volunteers who spent their summer with us.

Have a great rest of your summer, and we’ll see everyone back on the field for fall ball!
