The Tuesday, April 7, meeting of the Hillsboro Lions Club welcomed Leadership Greater Hillsboro to share about their class project.
Leadership Greater Hillsboro is an organization that develops local community leaders through immersive, hands-on experiences around the Hill County area and even down at the Texas State Capitol. In addition to enhancing leadership skills, and providing insights on local government and area businesses, each class does a project. The LGH class of 2025-2026 has chosen to focus on Wallace Park in Hillsboro for their project. Through manual labor and donations, they will be adding benches and tables for additional seating. The Hillsboro Lions Club gave a donation to the class for their project.
This class includes: Kelley Gelsthorpe, CASA of Hill County; Callie Pittman, Hillsboro City Library; Jessica Trew, Hillsboro EDC; Katie Whitehouse, Julie Siddons Realty; Sabrina Dyer, REACH Council; Leah Divin, Hillsboro ISD; Lauren Burrow, AG Texas; Jeff Vaughn, Hill College; Jayne Rose, Oncor; D'Leisa Graves, Citizens National Bank.
Hillsboro Lions Club meets every Tuesday at noon at the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church Family Life Center.
