Clyde’s Euthanasia went well. He’s gone and walking in Heaven with Karen Boydston Grider. I’m sure she’s happy to have her “Million Dollar Dog” back. We will miss him dearly. 🙏💔

It is with great sadness to let you know, we have set a Euthanasia date for Clyde for next Thursday. He is getting thinner by the minute, sleeping a lot, and still losing his hair. I promise to spoil him, and spend every minute with him until then. Thank you for the support, but it’s time for him to be reunited with Karen over that Rainbow Bridge. I could use good thoughts and prayers. Thank you. 💔🙏💔🙏

Hey there everyone. I wanted to give you another update on Clyde. His skin is still continuing to bother him, so he’s getting meds and a once a week medicated bath. He’s still pretty senile, so I think he scratches and chews at his skin more than it actually itches. I refuse to put an E-Collar on him, he’s old and arthritic. I’m with him almost 24/7 a day, so I correct him verbally instead. He sleeps right next to me in bed, so I can keep a close eye on him.

He’s still “catching flies” that aren’t there, which has always been one of his favorite things to do, only the flies were actually there before he was senile. 😂. He does still have occasional bursts of energy and spunky moments. He’s still eating all his food three times a day, and drinking water. He hasn’t gotten to the point where he’s losing control of bladder or bowels, he ALWAYS goes potty outside. Until he does that, or becomes uninterested in food and water, we will let our Sweet Man be SENILE AND HAPPY.

Here’s a pic I took while giving him a bath a few weeks ago. He was pretty pi**ed off, because the medicated shampoo has to sit for 5-10 minutes, and I use two different ones. I rinse, lather, let it sit 5-10 minutes, then rinse again. I do that twice. One is an atifungal/antibacterial, and the other is an inflammation/analgesic.

Hello everyone. I wanted to give you an update. Even though we have had a few scares with Clyde over the last year, he continues to fight to stay here with us, for now. He’s getting older, and exhibits neurological signs, some days worse than others. He was having a lot of bad days, but he seems to not be giving up on his journey here with us, yet. He’s been very happy the last month. Running, eating, drinking, playing, which was very different from what I saw in October. We almost gave up, but I’m glad we didn’t, because he’s proved he is clearly not ready to cross the rainbow bridge just yet. I know the time will come soon, where he journeys back into the arms of Karen, but until then, I’m going to keep spoiling him. I will know when the time is right, and I will let you all know as well. Here he is tonight, my old man, snoring on all his pillows. 🙏💜
