🇺🇸 UNITED AGAINST FENTANYL — HILL DAY 2026 🇺🇸
Washington, D.C. | September 25
As we’ve taken the last week to reflect on an incredible and emotional experience in Washington, D.C., we wanted to share a few words from Ken about what this trip meant to him.
“I was honored to serve as the Missouri State Captain for United Against Fentanyl Hill Day. It was a privilege to have fellow Missourians Salena, Brianna, and Natasha walk beside me as we took our voices — and the stories of our Angels — to our nation’s Capitol.
We met with the offices of Senators Eric Schmitt and Josh Hawley and Congresswoman Ann Wagner, sharing our Angels’ stories and speaking about the changes we desperately want to see.
The Walk for Lives was something I will never forget. Families came together carrying pictures of the people we love and miss every single day. We listened to powerful speakers tell their stories, and for a moment, we stood together as one family — connected by losses none of us ever wanted to share.
The Summit on Synthetic Drugs at Georgetown University was incredibly informative. The speakers brought a wealth of knowledge, experience, and information that strengthened our determination to keep fighting.
But some of the moments I will carry with me the most are the conversations I had with other bereaved families. Different names. Different stories. The same unimaginable pain — and the same determination to make a difference.
I will continue to fight against the devastation fentanyl has brought to our families and communities. I will continue to speak Jon’s name. I will continue to fight so other families do not have to know this pain.”

We are incredibly proud of Ken for carrying Jon’s story all the way to Capitol Hill and for standing beside so many families whose voices deserve to be heard.
Their lives mattered. Their stories matter. And we will keep saying their names.
