The kids are home, and the dice are out! 🎲 We're excited to announce a new RPG club just for adults, Dice After Dark! The first meeting starts Monday, October 5 at 5:30pm in the Book Lovers Room on the third floor.

Drop in for two hours of storytelling, strategy, and adventure. Long-term campaign commitment is not required. Adventures and RPG systems may change every few sessions, and all experience levels are welcome!

We’re still looking for our social media person!

A few individuals have reached out since we posted this, which is awesome, but we’re keeping the door open for a little longer while we figure out the right fit.

If you’re 18+, local to the High Point/Triad area, and you know your way around social media, TTRPGs, memes, and short-form video, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re looking for someone who wants to actually be part of Role Player and have some creative freedom, not just someone to crank out posts. The basic commitment is around 3 Facebook/Instagram posts and 2 TikToks a week, plus occasional meetups to brainstorm and film.

No professional social media experience required. Students are welcome, and we can provide documented volunteer hours, portfolio material, professional references, and internship/experiential-learning opportunities.

We also mean it when we say no AI-generated content or AI art. We want real people, real stories, real photos, and someone who can make the stuff we’re actually doing interesting for new audiences.

The basic commitment would be roughly around 3 Facebook/Instagram posts and 2 TikToks a week, plus getting together with us occasionally to brainstorm and film said shortform videos.

You don’t need to be a social media professional. We want someone with good ideas who wants some creative freedom and wants to actually be part of what we’re building. Also, we don’t use AI-generated content or AI art. We like real people, real stories, and things that actually feel like they came from our community.

We can offer hands-on experience, portfolio material, documented volunteer hours, professional references, and we’re happy to work with students who need an internship or experiential-learning opportunity.

Basically, we want another creative person on the team. So come make some stuff with us!

We're set up at Savor High Point today, and we've brought a little adventure with us.

So, come find the Role Player table, pick a hero, and jump into a 5-to-10 minute Daggerheart adventure.

Never played a tabletop RPG before? Perfect. You don't need to know the rules. Just choose a character, roll the dice, and tell us what you do.

And when your adventure is over... PLAY. FOLLOW. LOOT.

Follow Role Player on Facebook, roll our giant D20, and open the Treasure Chest to claim your reward. Roll a 20? You found RARE LOOT.

We'll also have information about what we're doing in the community, including our F.A.B.L.E. program, and ways you can get involved.

Ready for a new bite-sized adventure?

This weekend, Role Player is bringing tabletop magic to Savor High Point! Between tasting all the amazing local food and drinks, step up to our booth and jump into a 5-to-10-minute tabletop RPG micro-adventure. (Playing Daggerheart.)

No experience, dice, or rulebooks required; just bring your imagination! You’ll choose from one of our six pre-generated heroes (like Speck the Goblin Druid or Aldabra the Galapa Bard), roll the dice to generate a totally random scenario, and work together to save the day before your food gets cold.

The best part? Every hero deserves a reward! We’ll be giving away prizes right after your adventure ends.
