Story Lab is a week-long collaborative storytelling camp for kids ages 8 to 13 at the Greensboro Cultural Center. Campers create characters, go on magical adventures together, solve problems as a group, and turn those experiences into stories and journals they can take home at the end of the week.
The goal is simple. We want kids to have a place where creativity, communication, and imagination are encouraged. Much of the camp focuses on storytelling, teamwork, creative writing, and learning how to work together in a supportive environment.
No experience is needed. Kids who already love fantasy and games tend to enjoy it, but it is just as welcoming for kids who like drawing, writing, acting things out, or making up stories on the spot.
Each camper also takes home a set of dice, any crafts made during the week, and a personal Story Journal based on their adventures.
Because this is our inaugural year, the next 10 students to use the code NEWADVENTURE will receive $25 off class registration.
We keep group sizes small so every camper has a chance to contribute to the story. So register soon!
All proceeds support future free storytelling programs for kids in the Triad, helping expand access to creative learning, communication skills, and collaborative problem solving through storytelling.
