We will be hosting a Virtual Kickoff Meeting on Tuesday, August 18 at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom. During this meeting, you will learn more about the impact of your support, receive fundraising ideas, and connect with other community members who are committed to relieving hunger and poverty while promoting peace and justice around the world.

This is just one example of the amazing work that Church World Services (CWS) does. In case you do not know, a series of earthquakes hit Venezuela on June 24, 2026 causing devastation. Buildings collapsed, residents displaced and many lives lost. These families are in need of lifesaving supplies and support. When a disaster first happens, they help provide cleanup buckets, kits and vital supplies. CWS is mobilizing an active response, which will help:
-Provide equipment for engineers assessing building safety
-Strengthen local faith-based recovery networks providing shelter, food and emotional support
-Supply grants and support for small businesses to reopen
-Provide training and resilience resources for local partners

Hey Church Teams! Walk When It Works for Your Congregation!

We know Sunday mornings are busy, so the High Point CROP Hunger Walk is designed as a flexible walk experience.

The walk is open from 1:00–3:00 PM, but participants are welcome to arrive and begin walking anytime during that window.

The brief program and welcome remarks take place later in the afternoon, allowing churches time to finish services and travel to the event.
Whether your group arrives at 1:00, 1:30, or later, you'll still be part of the community effort to fight hunger locally and globally. We hope to see you there!
