The Hibbing Drama Boosters is thrilled to share that we’ve received a grant from the Owens-Pesavento/Dr. Benjamin P. Owen’s Family Foundation of the Hibbing Foundation for our project, Amplifying Student Voices: Providing Our Community with Inclusive, Exceptional Drama Productions! 🎤💙⚓️

Most of our productions take place in the beautiful, historic Hibbing High School auditorium — a massive space where it can be difficult for audiences to fully hear student performers. With only a limited number of functioning microphones, not all principal roles could be covered, impacting both production quality and students’ ability to be fully seen and heard.

This generous support helped us make a major step toward our goal of eight new wireless mic sets for the program. Each set costs approximately $2,300, and with this grant funding one of the systems — and additional support coming together — we are now ensuring that every student can be heard — loud, clear, and confident — on the HHS stage.

The support from our community has been amazing — thank you! 🌟 Don’t miss your chance to showcase your business in the program for The Little Mermaid musical. Deadline for ads and sponsorships is October 15th — details below ⬇️

This past spring, a group of parents and community members came together with a shared goal: to make sure Hibbing students have the resources they need to shine on stage. Out of that commitment, the Hibbing Drama Boosters was born. We are now a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting, enhancing, and promoting theater arts opportunities for students in Hibbing Public Schools.

Our very first fundraising goal is to purchase new wireless microphones for Hibbing Public Schools drama productions. With the size of our historic auditorium, it can be difficult for audiences to fully hear student performers, and with current equipment we simply don’t have enough working microphones. Each microphone system costs approximately $2,200, and we need eight. It’s a big investment, but one that will have a lasting impact on productions for years to come.

This fall, our community will gather for The Little Mermaid Musical, with hundreds of people attending each performance. We would love to partner with you and your business in this exciting moment. Opportunities include:
* Program Features– Recognition in the printed show program:
• $50 – Quarter-page ad
• $100 – Half-page ad
• $200 – Full-page ad
* Special Sponsorships– Sponsorships include a full-page program ad + extras:
• $500 – Spotlight Sponsor Full-page ad + thank-you on our social media
• $1,000+ – Standing Ovation Sponsor Full-page ad + thank-you on our social media + your business announced as the exclusive matching donor during our Minute to Give It fundraiser
• $1,500 – Act 2 Sponsor Premium full-page ad placement + thank-you on our social media + business thanked from the stage
• $2,000 – Act 1 Sponsor Premium center spread ad placement + thank-you on our social media + business thanked from the stage
