Supporting our communities means standing with families through life’s most difficult moments.

Ahead of Mother’s Day, U. S. Steel contributed $10,000 to support the development of Hope Remembrance Park in Hibbing, Minnesota, near our Minnesota Ore Operations’ facilities. In partnership with Light After Loss Mn and the Bereaved Mother’s Group, the park will serve as a reflective space for families navigating the tragedy of child loss.

We are so incredibly excited about our new Hope Remembrance Park location. We will be locatedoff of 1st avenue in Hibbing alongside Veterans Park. This is truly the place for our park to grow roots, and for our families & community to find healing. Things will happen so quickly at this point! We will be sharing so many updates this month, be sure to follow 🌱

Special thank you to the Veterans! We met locally with every group to talk about our vision & have open conversation about what our project means to the community. This park is beautiful, spacious, and so open! We are grateful to have their support.

As always thank you to the city, especially Nick Arola, The Bereaved Mothers Group leaders Angela Schweiberger& Angie Weaver, and our leaders Nina Pleshe and Stephany Vesel for the countless hours, emails, and meetings to make this happen. We are exactly where we were always meant to be!

Our 2026 Gala was an incredible success ✨️💃

Our gala fundraising efforts brought in over $12,000!! All fundraising efforts go towards our Hope Remembrance Park project in collaboration with the amazing Bereaved Mothers Group & the City of Hibbing. We were SO EXCITED to announce at the gala that we have a new location finalized for our park. We will be located alongside the honorable & incredible veterans at Veterans Park in Hibbing, off of 1st Ave. It is such a beautiful, family friendly, peaceful and special place we cannot wait to develop!

We have so many incredible people to thank. We had record attendance this year, so if you were there - thank you!! We would love to see your photos in the comments!
