☀️🐾 Meet our sweet… and slightly spicy… Luna! 🐾☀️

We call Luna sweet, but don’t let that adorable face fool you—this girl definitely has a little spicy side! 🌶️ Luna will need an experienced, patient owner who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let her settle in at her own pace.

She absolutely loves playing with other dogs and has plenty of energy to keep everyone entertained! But today, Luna decided to slow things down and soak up some sunshine. ☀️💛

With another storm headed our way, we’re enjoying this little calm before the storm—and apparently Luna is too. These peaceful, sunny moments are some of our favorite days at the rescue. 🐶💕

⭐ WE LOVE HEARING FROM YOU! ⭐

To go along with our post today about reviews, we want to say this: reviews matter—good, bad, and everything in between. They help us grow, learn, and show future adopters what Outreach Pawsabilities is really about. 🐾💜

We especially love hearing from people who have adopted from us and can share their firsthand experience. You’ve been through our adoption process, met our team, and most importantly, welcomed one of our rescue babies into your family. 🏡🐶

If you’ve adopted from us—or have personally worked with our rescue—and haven’t left us a review yet, we would truly appreciate it! You can leave a review on Facebook or Google.

⭐ Leave us a Google review here:

And if you adopted from us, we’d LOVE an update too! Tell us how your furry family member is doing now. Those happy endings are why we do what we do. ❤️🐾

Thank you for supporting our rescue, sharing our dogs, interacting with our posts, and helping us continue finding forever homes. Every bit of support helps another dog get seen. 🐶🏡💜

🐾 SOMETIMES A BAD REVIEW IS ONE-SIDED… AND SOMETIMES IT’S THE TRUTH. 🐾

We talk a lot about remembering that there are two sides to every story, especially when reading negative reviews.

A lot of the time, a bad review only tells one side. Important details may be left out, circumstances may not be explained, and the organization involved may have an entirely different perspective.

But we also need to acknowledge something equally important: Sometimes the bad review is right.

Sometimes a business, rescue, organization—or simply a person—messes up.

And when that happens, it is our responsibility to OWN IT.

Nobody enjoys admitting they were wrong. Nobody likes saying, “We handled this badly,” “We dropped the ball,” or “You deserved better from us.”

It can be uncomfortable. It can be embarrassing. And sometimes our first instinct is to defend ourselves.

But accountability isn't about being perfect.

It's about what you do when you realize you weren't.

We are all human. We make mistakes. We have bad days. We miscommunicate. Things fall through the cracks. Sometimes, despite our best intentions, we simply get something wrong.

The important part is being willing to say:

“We were wrong. We're sorry. And we're going to do better.”

A bad review shouldn't automatically define an organization. But how that organization responds when the criticism is deserved says a whole lot about its character.

We cannot learn from mistakes we refuse to acknowledge.

We cannot improve if we're constantly looking for someone else to blame.

And we cannot expect others to take responsibility for their actions if we aren't willing to do the same.

So yes, when you read a negative review, remember there are two sides.

But when the review is deserved?

Own it. Apologize. Learn from it. Fix what needs fixing. And make sure the next person has a better experience.

Because integrity isn't never making a mistake.

❤️ Integrity is having the courage to admit when you did—and doing everything you can to make sure you do better next time. 🐾

💭 What matters more to you when you see a negative review—the mistake itself, or how the business or organization responds to it? Can owning a mistake and genuinely trying to make it right actually earn MORE of your trust?

We’d love to hear your thoughts. ❤️

🧔🐶 WORLD BEARD DAY: DOG EDITION! 🐶🧔

Apparently World Beard Day is supposed to be about humans… but have you SEEN some of these dogs?! 😂

Some of our furry friends have been rocking beards since birth — no beard oil, no trimming appointments, and absolutely ZERO concern about getting food stuck in them. 🤣

🐾 Scruffy beard? Handsome.
🐾 Wild beard? Distinguished.
🐾 Wet beard after drinking water? Slightly disgusting… but still adorable. 😂
🐾 Beard full of crumbs? Saving snacks for later!

Today we're celebrating all the bearded boys and girls of the dog world! 🧔🐕❤️

👇 SHOW US YOUR BEARDED PUPS! Drop a picture in the comments — bonus points if their beard makes them look like a tiny old man who is disappointed in your life choices. 😂😂

And remember… some of the BEST beards are currently sitting in rescues waiting for someone to fall in love with them. 🐾❤️🏡

🌭🚨 ASK ME ABOUT MY WIENER. 🚨🌭

Actually… PLEASE ask us about our wieners because we currently have FIVE BABY WIENERS AND ONE MAMA WIENER running around looking for homes. 😂

That’s SIX wieners.
An unreasonable amount of wiener.
Possibly too much wiener for one rescue to handle. 🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭

They’re short.
They’re long.
They have absolutely NO idea how tiny their legs are.
And they are ready to bring some sausage-shaped chaos into your home. 😂🐾

Mama is also ready to retire from the wiener-making business and be somebody’s spoiled little queen. 👑❤️

So… ASK US ABOUT OUR WIENERS. 😂

And for the love of dog, somebody adopt one before we make 47 more wiener jokes. 🌭🤣

🐾🍽️ HOW MANY TIMES A DAY DO YOU FEED YOUR DOG? 🍽️🐾

Once? Twice? Three times? There really isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer! 🐶❤️

A dog’s age, size, activity level, health, and individual needs can all play a part in determining the best feeding schedule. Most healthy adult dogs do well with two measured meals a day, while puppies often need smaller, more frequent meals.

And don’t forget—treats count too! 🦴😂 Those puppy-dog eyes may say otherwise, but treats are still part of their daily intake!

The most important thing isn’t simply how many times you fill the bowl—it’s making sure your pup is getting the right amount of nutrition to stay happy and healthy. 💜🐾

👇 Now we want to hear from you!
Does your dog eat 1, 2, or 3+ times a day?

💜 FENTANYL AWARENESS DAY — PROTECTING OUR PETS, TOO 🐾

Pets can be seriously harmed by even tiny amounts of fentanyl or other medications. A dropped pill, open purse, or unknown substance on a walk can become an emergency.

🐾 Keep pets safe:
• Store all medications securely and out of reach.
• Pick up dropped pills immediately.
• Keep medications in original containers.
• Don’t let pets lick or eat unknown substances outdoors.
• Dispose of unused medications safely.

🚨 If your pet may have ingested fentanyl or any medication, contact a veterinarian, emergency animal hospital, or poison-control service immediately—don’t wait for symptoms.

Never give human medication or induce vomiting unless directed by a veterinarian.

A few seconds of prevention could save a life. 💜🐶

⛈️🐾 THUNDERSTORMS CAN SCARE DOGS 🐾⛈️

Help your dog feel safe during storms:

🏠 Create a cozy safe space
📺 Use TV, music, a fan, or white noise to mask thunder
🪟 Close curtains to block lightning
❤️ Comfort them if they seek reassurance
🦴 Offer treats, chews, or a lick mat if they’re willing
🚪 Secure doors, windows, fences, and gates—frightened dogs may bolt
🏷️ Make sure tags and microchip information are current
💊 Talk to your veterinarian about severe storm anxiety

Never punish a frightened dog. Fear isn’t bad behavior.

Most importantly, bring your dog inside during storms. Never leave a scared dog outside alone. ⛈️❤️🐾
