Happy Saint Patrick's Day! I hope you're all having a fantastic day. These two pups have really been enjoying the pleasant weather, allowing them to spend much more time playing outdoors. The tan one, Ida, is eagerly awaiting his forever home and would undoubtedly be a wonderful addition to any family. He's full of energy and loves to play, but also enjoys being close to his owner. Ida is just shy of a year old and is a Labrador mix. If you're interested in meeting this charming pup, please feel free to reach out.

We're on the hunt for some awesome volunteers, age 16 and up, to lend a hand loading items into trailers. If you’re free today from 6 to 8 PM or tomorrow from 1 to 3 PM, we would be incredibly grateful for your support as we tackle our outdoor organization project. While we’d love to have this done as volunteer work, we’re open to offering payment if needed. With one of our team members expecting and unable to lift heavy loads, your extra hands would make a huge difference! As we approach the end of this lovely weather, your assistance would be greatly appreciated! Plus, who wouldn't want to catch a glimpse of your adorable furry companions along the way?

Reflecting on the whirlwind that was 2025, it’s clear that this year truly had its fair share of highs and lows. Yet, amidst the challenges, we experienced an incredible milestone that brings a sense of joy and gratitude—nearly 200 dogs found their forever homes! This remarkable achievement fills our hearts with gratitude and highlights the incredible support from our community.

As we stand at the threshold of a new year, we are filled with optimism and excitement for 2026. We are committed to continuing our mission and making an even greater impact, and with your unwavering support, we are confident that the best is yet to come.

Our rescue appears to be one of many affected by political challenges. The actions being taken by shelters are regrettably concerning, as they seem to be focused on shutting down rescues rather than addressing the issue of breeders. This situation is disheartening. If you follow our rescue and/or any others and see negative comments, I urge you to take action. Share your positive experiences by writing a review. Every rescue organization is in urgent need of support. Closing rescues will not help animals; it will not alleviate the number of homeless dogs on the streets. Surrendered dogs are often turned away by shelters, and when they are accepted, they are a lot of the times euthanized due to being deemed aggressive or having medical issues. We are not implying that every rescue operates with integrity. Some do have their challenges. Therefore, conducting a thorough investigation is essential. However, when all dogs are clearly seen to be well cared for, loved, and have their medical requirements fully satisfied, as confirmed by a licensed veterinarian, such measures should never escalate to this extent. We genuinely need your support. If you have visited our rescue, adopted from us, or participated in our events, please take a moment to leave a review on Facebook or Google. The consequences of this current situation will be detrimental to the animals, and we must stand together to make a difference.

Happy Giving Tuesday! We're excited to kick off this day with the launch of our very own advent calendar. Feel free to use it however you wish—we encourage creativity! It’s important to us that everyone understands our commitment to helping dogs and the community comes from genuine compassion, not a desire for recognition. Our goal is to ensure that every homeless dog finds a loving family and a forever home, regardless of whether they come from us or another rescue.

We also want to inspire kindness year-round, not just during the holiday season. Christmas is about more than gifts; it’s about compassion and making a difference in the lives of those in need, whether they have fur or two legs. This Giving Tuesday, please consider supporting your local rescue, shelter, food bank, or homeless shelter—any effort to spread goodwill makes a difference. While we greatly appreciate donations that aid our rescue, we acknowledge all contributions that support these vital organizations.

Friday nights at the rescue exude a calm serenity. Some dogs love basking on the heated floor, while others curl up comfortably on a soft bed. I can't express enough gratitude for these amazing little souls. Each one possesses a unique and loving personality, and they all faced dire circumstances. Life is unpredictable, and we're fortunate our paths intertwined. Here, they thrive, happy and healthy, as we await the day when they find their forever families.
