All Ages Read Together (AART) All Ages Read Together (AART) provides free preschool classes for children from low income households

All Ages Read Together (AART) is a non-profit 501c3 that is dedicated to serving low and moderate income pre-school aged children. Volunteers of all ages provide individualized school readiness programs to prepare children for success in Kindergarten and beyond. AART provides free programs to children in Loudoun and Fairfax Counties. Mostly retired members of the community volunteer their time and talents to inspire and educate AART's young students. AART

-Gives free books to start in-home libraries

-Benefits all age groups

-Prepares children for Kindergarten

-Is a resource for children and families who have nowhere else to turn

🍎 New classes, new friends, new beginnings!

We’re excited to welcome our students back for a new season of learning. AART would like to put a special spotlight on our new class at Kingsley Commons. We want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible teachers and volunteers who have made this new class possible.

All of AART's classrooms are officially kicking off, and we can’t wait to fill the year with stories, songs, hands-on learning, new friendships, and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow.

From the first hello to the final story of the day, every classroom moment helps our students build confidence and get ready for their next big step.

A final, heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our incredible sponsors who helped make the 15th Annual Tee Off for Children’s Literacy such a special day! ⛳️

As we celebrated 15 years of Tee Off for Children’s Literacy, our community gave us even more reason to celebrate. Together, our golfers and sponsors helped us raise a record-breaking $27,414.72! We could not have imagined a more meaningful way to mark 15 years of this special event.

And a special thank you to our Golf Chairman, Peter Knapp, whose dedication to AART has helped this event grow and thrive over the past 15 years.

SMAART Trivia Night is back on November 8th! đź’ˇ

For the first time, we are hosting Trivia Night in Alexandria, Virginia. Grab a team & join us for an evening of community fun. Tickets are available now, and registration is open until October 31st. 🧠 Fun fact: According to NWEA research, kindergarteners who started school in the bottom 20% in reading had about a 1-in-10 chance of reaching reading proficiency by 3rd grade. And for students who were still in the bottom 20% in 1st grade, that dropped to just 1 in 50.

In other words, those first few years of school can reveal a lot about a child’s academic trajectory, however, the researchers stress that early identification also creates a bigger window for intervention. All Ages Read Together works to ensure that this gap never exists for our students through comprehensive preschool programming. ❤️
