The Mission of HCHN is to improve the health and well-being of individuals who live, work, play and learn in Herkimer County. Herkimer County HealthNet, Inc.

Herkimer County HealthNet, Inc. (HCHN) is the leading voice in Herkimer County’s health and human service system. It has served as a bridge between organizations inside and outside of Herkimer County, addressing issues identified through assembling a partnership of key organizations that serve the Mohawk Valley, focusing on change at the environmental and policy levels supported by evidence-based programming. These partnerships have implemented a variety of initiatives, which have all been designed to implement sustainable policy, system, and environmental changes, supported by complementary programs in the community. This year were making it fun to learn about oral health & introducing Brush Buddies!! An interactive dental program to help make learning about good oral hygiene a fun and memorable experience for people of all ages. Our areas of expertise are:

New date for Last Farmer's Market of 2026 at Bassett Clinic. Switched from Oct. 22 to Wednesday, October 21. Come from 11am - 3pm for fresh fruits and veggies from the farm. The Go Pink Event will fill the rest of the first floor lobby that day. Check it out!

🍿Valley Cinema will have their concession open for popcorn, candy, and beverages. We will also have some goodies from White Rose Bakery and the Little Falls co-op.

🎨 We have two prompt boards to share your thoughts as a little community art project!

📸 The wonderful Anastasia Kot will be capturing some pictures and video throughout the event, if you do not wish to be in any photos please just let us know.

🗣️ Following the film, we would love to have an engaging discussion about any thoughts and reflections you wish to share with the group.

Being part of New York’s rural health network gives our team opportunities to learn, connect with partners from across the state, and bring new ideas and resources back home to Herkimer County.
