Student must be at least 11 years of age to attend the Hunter Education Course, unless he/she will, within the next year, hunt in a state that allows hunting under the age of 12 years. Check with the instructor as some restrictions will apply.

FALL SEASON 2026!!
The Belleville Henderson Trap Team will compete for its 13th season with the Fall 2026 Campaign!!
Registration is NOW OPEN and all Belleville Henderson student athletes ages 12+ (birthday on or before September 7) can participate.
The fall season is a great opportunity to try trap, especially for new participants, develop skills and get used to new equipment.

Good afternoon,
The Belleville Henderson team will compete on field 9B. The field is located near the Bridgeport Rod & Gun Club building. See map attached for specific location. They have a small parking lot near the field, but most likely it’s best to park in the large parking area to get out once we’re done. The address for the facility is 7400 Bull Street, Bridgeport, New York. Please use the driveway allocated for entering the facility, not the entrance at the bend in the road.

Please be on site by 8:30 am so we can get started on time. Traffic will be crazy from 8 am to 9 am as 600+ students athletes, along with coaches and family will be entering the facility so be patient. All help for the tournament are volunteers so be respectful.

I have 30 boxes of 12 gauge and 30 boxes of 20 gauge shells for our 11 athletes. Each student will have access to four boxes provided by the coaches just before each round.

They are going to be Top Gun shells, if you prefer to use your own shells please bring them. Suggest you bring a box of shells as a backup. Please bring your primary fi***rm that you have used all season.

I will be on site by 7:00 am to acquire the space needed for the team. Thank you to everyone for pitching in for a great day of trap.

Absolutely must wear your school shirt for the competition, along with required eye and hearing protection. We will be sharing the field with three other schools, so be aware of where you place your fi***rm at all times.

It’s expected to be a warm day so sun screen and bug spray are recommended. I will have a case of water for hydration. Also bring chairs to relax!

Lastly, we will have our 12th person looking over us as Nick will be cheering us on. He always brought his best to states.

2026 NYS TRAP TOURNAMENT
Bridgeport, NY
Friday, June 5, 2026

The Belleville Henderson Trap Team will compete with 11 student athletes at the tournament this year.
The team will be competing on field 9B at 9 am, 930 am and 10 am at the Bridgeport Rod & Gun Club. (Parking and map will be in separate post)
The squads will compete in two rounds (50 birds). They will be competing in four rounds total (100 birds) so 4 boxes of ammo is required.
The second round will be approximately 1 pm, 130 pm and 2 pm for the second 50 birds (2 rounds)

9:00 am Wyatt Ames, William Gleason, Megan Bernat, Brian Parish, Kayden Parker

9:30 am Delilah Zerphey, Jenna Matthews, Haily Fleming, Hunter Fleming, Braeden

10 am Abbygail Beutel

Food and drink will be available for purchase at the site, but you can definitely bring your own food, drink, chairs and canopy. Mrs. Matthews is coordinating the tents and food.

The weather is expected to be nice, so sunscreen and bug spray is recommended.

For fi***rms and student transportation, anyone carpooling needs to let a coach know by Thursday night.

ABSOLUTELY no fi***rms or ammo ON SCHOOL PROPERTY.
